Nude girls on the T's? Gotta be.

porsche4life 08-09-2011 09:39 PM

See... I'd rather a 600 over a 9. That will help with the learning curve. Plus, that is still capable of killing you with ease...

nynor 08-09-2011 09:41 PM

the SS is a lot more raw than the 749. really. the 749 is easier to ride, even though it has more power.

i'd ride the monsters. 900cc's of naked goodness.

porsche4life 08-09-2011 09:43 PM

My thing with naked bikes is the lack of wind protection. We get a lot of wind here, and the little bit of windshield and fairing would help...

slodave 08-09-2011 09:43 PM

Wimp.

nynor 08-09-2011 09:43 PM

hell, the bike i learned on had almost 90HP.

i think 99HP, as listed on that page, is a bit optimistic. however, the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times are correct.

the monsters have a little windscreen. that is usually enough. honestly, the screen on my SS is useless, unless i pretty much lay on the fuel tank.

porsche4life 08-09-2011 09:47 PM

I really need to ride one... There just aren't many around here...

I really want an 848, but lets be realistic....

The 848, 1098, and Triumph Daytona, are IMHO some of the best looking crotch rockets available.

nynor 08-09-2011 09:48 PM

i am coming around to the 748. the 888 is a bit dated. if i were to buy brand new, 848.

slodave 08-09-2011 09:49 PM

I'm lost.

yep, sweet bike. but dated. the 916 is much sexier.

Geronimo '74 08-09-2011 09:49 PM

Not a Monster but certainly a bike I would like to own.. 2250€

Love the 888 too, I don't think it's too dated, it still looks cool IMO

i think you would be happier with a 900. i really really like the mid 90's SS. very nice lines.

That much I know. :D I just know nothing about bikes. :)

the triumph 675 is the bomb. you get the best of both worlds: good torquey grunt with the inline triple, yet high and fast revving like an inline 4. it won just about everything it entered, IIRC.

2010 Triumph Daytona 675 specifications and pictures

check out the torque... 5 more foot pounds than my 900 and 46 more ponies.

nynor 08-09-2011 09:57 PM

ok, it is bedtime for the darell.

good night guys.
