Stijn!!

Good evening guys.

I got my 911 washed and vacuumed. It is not super clean but a lot better. It will be OK for the Hooter's car show on Saturday.

nynor 08-09-2011 07:19 PM

Reply to my marketing genius.

Porsche-poor 08-09-2011 07:34 PM

marketing only to a D.O.M. maybe. Not that I don't like the idea I really don't like bars on windows much.

A couple of friends are in local bands.
One band gets gigs all the time, the other only every couple of months. The difference is the one that gets lots of work (almost every weekend) has a web site and a professional promoter/agent. They play cover/requests (no original material, just do their own arrangements) so no DAMS or downloads to rights manage.

Glad to hear you made it back in one piece. Don't know if my car will be released by Saturday for the Hooter's car show or not. I placed in the last two it was in.

I don't even own a leaf blower even though I have heard it is a great tool for drying a driveway wash job.

Porsche-poor 08-09-2011 07:56 PM

thats kind of what they heard tonight. practice till your tight then get out there and find a gig and make a reputation and work it then when it gets to the point you can't do it all get a manager.

slodave 08-09-2011 08:00 PM

Exposure, exposure, exposure... Kinda like nekked chicks... :D

Porsche-poor 08-09-2011 08:04 PM

2K for a set of keys??? ouch!

Morning Guys! I found a new way to drive to work, lots of quiet curvy roads.
Time wise it's about the same as before but it's about 25 clicks shorter and a lot more fun!

yep. the keys are electronically keyed to the specific ECU, or some such rot.

Would the guy you know be the owner of one black 944? I think the kickass shirts he wears are why they get gigs....

Geronimo '74 08-09-2011 09:36 PM

I'd be more worried about Sid crashing the thing than losing the keys... From a 250 to the duc is a big step. :p

I've been looking a Duc Monsters again in the classifieds. For like 2K € you have a good one, not the latest but still good looking bikes. I'd go for the 900 before the 600 though.
