Good morning, everyone!

your welcome. one more service I provide.........keyboard lubrication and replacement.

livi 08-24-2011 06:36 AM

'Keyboard lubrication'. Literary or is that a term for something completely different? ;)

Porsche-poor 08-24-2011 06:38 AM

coffee cup, sip, laugh, spit coffee into keyboard. Add cream and sugar now you need to replace it. Or you can keep it and spell interesting words when the keys stick.

My boxster was my daily driver for 4 years.

RKDinOKC 08-24-2011 07:23 AM

One summer I never put the top up. It only rained at night when it was in the garage.

It was the only Porsche I've owned that I never got pulled over in.

The trooper was a judge at a car show and the boxster got second place.

Porsche-poor 08-24-2011 07:29 AM

i was looking at that picture and wondering if it was a mass pull over.

Check! Yet another argument in favor.

Of course, the odds for not having to put up the top during a whole summer here in Sweden are rudimentary. At best.

Porsche-poor 08-24-2011 08:19 AM

yeah get your mind out of the gutter. I know its not helping with all the Wednesday pictures but try.

livi 08-24-2011 08:33 AM

Thats my intention. Cheers!

Warning on Boxster as daily driver.

After Boxster for 4 years I got a VW Passat. For a 4 adult sedan I really liked the Passat. There was a Big Problem. After the Boxster driving the Passat pinched and caused nerve damage. It went from my butt getting uncomfortable and hurting driving the car to foot numbness and my feet waking me up in the middle of the night hurting. VW replaced the seat and then bought the car back from me after 2500 miles.

The only 4 door sedans I could find that i could drive without butt pain was either a Volvo S40 or BMW 3 series with sport seats.

I thought it was just me, but I saw Top Gear where Hugh Grant complained that he had to sell his Aston Martin and get another Porsche because of a similar nerve problem after driving his brothers VW Golf. He said they called his problem Golf Balls.

You handled it exactly as I thought: Just thought I'd check in Rick...I wondered how you were, expecting the best.

Thanks, Gents.

Love this thread, follow your exploits.

Morning, Glen!

I am relieved to hear that most Porsche drivers seem very positive toward the Boxster. On some other Porsche forums there are a lot of negative feelings regarding both the design and dreaded IMS failures.

BTW, may I suggest you post all your pictures here rather than on the 'random pics' thread. :D

Most guys love to tease Boxster owners about how it is a "Chick car" or a gay car. I just don't care for convertables. BTDT. I also don't want a car that I can even see the engine. But that is just me.

Porsche-poor 08-24-2011 11:08 AM

my friend used to have a 914 and I was disturbed by the amout of engine was not seen

RKDinOKC 08-24-2011 11:50 AM

You can see the engine, you partially open the top, take out the speakers if you have them, remove the carpet cover, then remove the engine cover. It's like a 914 only there are just a few interior bits to get out of the way.

In my 4 years of boxstering there was no reason to look at the engine.

Porsche-poor 08-24-2011 12:45 PM

I'd love to have one but I wonder if at 6'-1" I would fit in it.
