I got pulled last year for no front tag, and the officer was already apologizing to me before he got to the car. Antique tag on the back. :D

And Oh I'll take Bubba's little sister on the dirt bike

My bad mood has not facilitated my finishing of that request... Or something like that. Deal.

I will get back to it.

Sorry for the delay.

No rush.

Morning Rico.

I don't miss having a front tag. We don't need them in OK.

My wife's car came with a bracket for a tag that was in a box in the trunk. it is in the attic. Someday when we sell her car I will stick the tag bracket back in the trunk.

Good morning guys!

Rick V 10-23-2011 06:39 AM

If the state would drop the front tag yet keep the same price it would be a lot of money for the state. I know they don't have much invested in the tags but not much X a whole bunch of tags is a chunk of change

Morning Glen

That was my question last night. Is that/was that legal in Europe? There are many 50s & 60s era sports cars with a decal front "plate" as opposed to a metal one.

depends on the country, UK it's allowed, Belgium Holland not, Germany doubt it, France , dunno. Itally, prolly nobody gives a rats ass there.

But mostly people do it anway and then keep the real plate under the drivers seat or something..

Noah930 10-23-2011 09:13 AM

So even in 2011 it's allowed in certain countries?

Geronimo '74 10-23-2011 09:21 AM

Lol, i didn't even know it was illegal over here.
Don't even have a regular plate for the front.

Damn! Marco Simoncelli (sp?) died? This has not been a good couple weeks for motorsports. Dan Wheldon and now Simoncelli. :(

Geronimo '74 10-23-2011 10:10 AM

I saw something of a race being red flagged when I was going throught the tv channels but I zapped over it. Heard about the fatal accident afterwards.
Didn't know him but RIP nonetheless. These things are always tragic.

RKDinOKC 10-23-2011 10:21 AM

A few weeks ago an open road racer, Rick Dekneef and his navigator died when they had a tire blow out at 200 mph.

Several years ago a guy that set a production car speed record of 212mph in his 928 at one of these races said he always checks the course for smoothness before he decides to enter and expressed his concern that tire companies weren't making tires designed for 90 miles at these speeds on public roads. Every race he refused to run had at least one major tire related crash.

Flieger 10-23-2011 10:21 AM

I have never seen a bike shoot to the inside of the turn after lowsiding like that. Seems very strange.

Very sad and very horrific crash. :(
