Hahaha, sure Rick, whatever you say. :)

Question is not if she could, but would she want to and is she going to?.... :p

(just messin' with ya, dad... :D:D)

p.s.(she looks great, hope she doesn't age like you do... :P) (no really, you have a beautiful daughter)

Rick V 11-18-2009 03:40 AM

Thanks, and she is an Army MP. I think she might just be able to whup ya. :)

Geronimo '74 11-18-2009 03:48 AM

She might just, if I let her..... (I'm not an MP but I ain't no white belt either...)

Luckily, I know her old man ;) , hopefully things won't ever get mean between her and I. I'm fairly easygoing and not a troublemaker at all. :):):)

I have never gone skying, without somebody, in my group getting busted up, as in show stopper.

Now that doesn't mean i did it, but it does mean i have seen several Helicopter , snow cat en skido Evacs due to broken wrists, knees and torn ligaments.

Although i have done some seriously watchable high speed crashes, the kind that draws a crowd, i've never been injured so far. I tend to be very relaxed when i take a snow dive.

Dude, you sure make skiing sound like fun, and expensive. The last time we went skiing I saw a guy try to take out a tree. The tree was not impressed. He fought the tree and the tree won. He was young enough to get himself to the aid station.

Go watch SuperTroopers. All of you. I can't believe you all missed that....

Yes in OK you can say cheeky. As long as it is in reference to shenanigans.....

Markus, did you see the house we are looking at in Åre?
check the previous page of the thread.

Looks good. I have spent a couple of weeks skiing in Jämtland almost every year since I was like seven years old. Both in Åre and Duved, but mostly in Storlien where my family has a cottage right next to the ski lift since 1980 or something.

the_webbster 11-18-2009 05:46 AM

Storlien - that place we drive by on our way to ÅRE!!

or: "little Norway".

If I can put this deal together you can rent the place, if you want to come up and do some skiing. it's right by the Bakery and the systembolaget.

they have an offer in for 2.8m SEK so we are going to have to go higher, which we are prepared to do. it's a bit of a fixer-upper but we're not too worried about that either. the land and the location are the key. oh, and did I mention 3 GARAGES!!!

I might end up buying a Porsche and a Cabin all in the same week.

YEEEEEHOOOOO!!

livi 11-18-2009 05:57 AM

Sounds like a perfect location. Good luck!

Well, off to yet another dreary night shift..

Hey Sid
:http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1258556506.jpg

the_webbster 11-18-2009 06:12 AM

I rode through Taos last year.
I did Race Across America in 2008 on an 8-man team. we rode in pairs (one guy on the road and one in the chase van for 15mins at a time).

my partner and I rode from some junction coming out of the mountains where there's an old steam train, then into Taos (over a gorge), a loop through Taos and up and over Badger Pass. I rode into and through town and also got to do the last bit up to badger pass.

we then rode down to eagle creek (?), turned left up over another hill and on to Kansas. that was good riding.

I'm sure you know where I'm talking about.

Turboo934 11-18-2009 06:44 AM

Great roads here to run my 76 Turbo Carrera, she's been down for a motor rebuild this year.Next year I'm going to tear up some roads with her.Man to ride at this altitude kudus to you, I'm too old for that know.

****ing student webmail won't let me send an email from my iPhone. Grrr. I need to email a professor and I left my laptop in my apartment.

svandamme 11-18-2009 07:24 AM

I Lolled Rick, so i give it a thumbs up.

Just had one of the most effed up drives in a long time, overtook cops, had guy drive on my lane without seeing i was there (obviously i did not flinch, i just looked, he looked back and then nearly went off road as he swirved back in a knee jerk WTF there's somebody on that lane reactiong)... Then the left lane huggers, at 110... just lemmings to dumb to be active in traffic, so they pick the left lane and sheepishly stay there... untill i zoom past on the right lane, overtaking 10 cars in one go... and i slam mine back in the left to over take a truck... And they honk their horns at me.. seriously... wake up and either use the loud pedal, or skoot over to the right...

Anyway, if "Blik op de Weg" was filming today, i'll probably end up on TV.. It wasn't pretty. It was Mad Max, Road Warrion, the remake, without guns.

Rick V 11-18-2009 08:14 AM

Sorry Sid, I just kinda felt you needed to be smacked for no reason. Hey I'm old I am allowed. :)

svandamme 11-18-2009 08:25 AM

it's the law, youngest one in any group is subject to random abuse.
It's a rite of passage, it's for their own good... toughen em up for the hard life ahead.
