Tomatoes, I don't think so. I think that's basically a big scab, blood pudding/sausage, I think, but I could definitely be wrong.

was awake, but working (sort off), last day , got the rest of the week off, much needed R&R

flatbutt 07-28-2009 08:26 AM

I'll be there next week doing a series of seminars for the company office in Weybridge. Weather is irrelevant as I'll not be seeing out of doors the whole time!:(

Hey am I gonna have to reopen the early morning thread today? Huh?

slodave 07-29-2009 12:34 AM

Still here! Staring at copper.

svandamme 07-29-2009 12:34 AM

got a stuffed ear, you know, getting out of shower, water in yer ears, one won't clear up, drives me nuts.

Geronimo '74 07-29-2009 12:47 AM

Stijn,

lean all the way forward until your head is pointing almost to the ground, then rotate your head slowly left and/or right. ( 90 dergrees or more) You can feel and hear it clearing, when the water runs out.
That does the trick for me.

If you hit your ear (gently) with the palm of your hand, be sure to open your mouth. (occuring pressure differences may hurt otherwise)

svandamme 07-29-2009 12:50 AM

tried all sorts of tricks, i think it's not just water, but also some earbutter.
probablty should to get them "blow" out by a doctor, just like they did 10 years ago when i went skydiving... it's the weirdest thing, they put a seringe on your ear, with some solution, i think water and hydrogen peroxide

livi 07-29-2009 12:54 AM

I missed the morning post.

Yes, Stijn, get a syringe, fill it with semi-warm water (important not cold) and just keep flushing into your ear until the mix of whatever nice stuff you have collected in there comes out.

Geronimo '74 07-29-2009 01:02 AM

What to do when ear is stuffed?

1. post on PP BBS
2. get syringe (no needle...)
3. flush out earbutter
4. Make sandwich
5. enjoy rest of morning with full auditive capabilities

Rick V 07-29-2009 02:25 AM

oooooooooooooooor You can simply drop a heavy object on your big toe on the opposite foot. this will have a 2 pronged effect.
1 You will be in such pain that you won't be bothered by your ear
2 as your foot comes back to life you will then be balanced because of the discomfort on both sides.
Try that and get back to us. :)

svandamme 07-29-2009 02:40 AM

Rick...

nice try, no cigar.

Rick V 07-29-2009 02:41 AM

Hey wait till I get some more coffee, I'll get better. :)

svandamme 07-29-2009 02:45 AM

keep repeating that line till it does. :D

Rick V 07-29-2009 02:57 AM

You just managed to make me laugh. That takes a lot.

This works for me:

Just mix 1-part Hydrogen Peroxide with 2 parts warm water in a bowl. Get a squeezable bulb type syringe from the drug store and just discharge it forcibly into the ear until the offending plug of wax comes out back into the bowl.

It may take 5 or 6 times.

doc did it for me, and got a checkup while i was at it... BP is perfect, lungs too..

turned out to be a slight ear infection ( although i had no pain) , causing some kind of stuff to solidify and form a film.

culprit wasn't earbutter

He blew out my ears with syringe, jobs a goodn'
