Somewhere in this thread is the list of major injuries I have suffered in the last 46 years, combine that with cold temps and rain........
Dave and D are right up there with me

I may have to watch it again just b/c you mentioned it...

Alarick, anyway (and interest) in breaking away from the family for 2-3 days late spring/early summer and take a drive to Death Valley? I may even have my license then and could fly out, though driving may just be easier. I want to go to the moving rocks to take pix, but it's a 2.5 hour drive from the Furnace Creek Inn and picture taking time is either at sun up or sun down. It means camping out there for a night or two. You wife and kids are welcome too... Just absolutely nothing for kids to do out there.

i might look at fabricating a hard-line, if it were me. a fuel hose, rubber, with two 90 deg bends doesn't sound like the best idea.

It's a small section of molded hose connecting to the venting check valves at the filler. There's bugger all room for additional fittings and I'd still need to fit a hard-line to the valves with a piece of rubber hose and extra clamps. Molded rubber hose is the best option. Have tried to get the piece through Pelican - NLA.

No luck in Geelong so far, ENZED's closed until next week. Tried Pirtek and a few others like it (even went to mower stores).

Surf's up. Plenty of idiots at the beach swimming - too bloody cold for swimming! Tried to look for 'white pointers' but they all seemed to be rugged up or face down.

Pictures would probably get me put in jail :D

Sure.

I love camping. I view it as spending money to look like you've got none.

slodave 12-27-2011 07:16 PM

Fine. You rent the RV and drive it there, I'll fly and you pick me up. :D

porsche4life 12-27-2011 07:16 PM

I prefer backpacking...

Nothing like a long hard walk, to go somewhere and not sleep very well, eat bad food, and be borderline miserable...

slodave 12-27-2011 07:20 PM

There's a reason it's called "Death Valley". :D A long hard walk can kill you there.

ah.. i was thinking a high pressure line, under the hood, or something.

vas930 12-27-2011 07:23 PM

Well, she's all over for Normy.
He went too far.
I have still seen worse with no punishment.
