I just love summer by the beach.
I too experienced the bikini in the supermarket this afternoon. This is just fantastic! Another first for me today, I can tick this one off the bucket list. While the missus was shopping at the mall, I had a Chinese massage. Hell it hurt. That tiny little girl has the strongest fingers & the little vacuum cups burn like hell for a few minutes, but I feel great now. I'm going to do that again. |
I'd be a little more mad at you Aussies if the weather hadn't been so damned great here this week. Mid 60's for the high, sunny and a light breeze, about as good as it gets in OK.
|
It's summer out here, too! I'm still in shorts and a T and it's 22.30.
|
How do you live with a perpetual single season?
|
I'm not a fan of this right now. There's no snow in the mountains. Makes it rough to ski.
Tomorrow I will be at the beach as well, but not in the water. That is too cold right now. |
96" base with 17" of fresh powder last weekend just outside of ABQ... Sounds like you need to head east!

Night, Sidney.

Dave, you're the first person I wanted to call. I see you're still here.
Cookie's been missing since Christmas. He will wander for a day or day-and-a-half. But he's never been gone for more than 2 days at a time. I thought he was a goner. Coyote? Raccoon? Stolen? Tonight, I went out and walked in front of our house, meowing. I heard a meow. Turns out he's been stuck in a garage across the street for the past 4 days. Homeowner's been sick and hasn't driven her car in a week. Somehow our cat snuck into her garage, she closed the door, and I found him peering out from between the leaves of one of those aluminum mushroom vents. I had to wake the neighbor at 11 pm to let us into her garage so I could dismantle that vent and pop him out the roof (he got stuck in between the fan blades and couldn't come down). |
Nice ending.
Sure you want to admit on a public forum that you go out side and meow? :D Does this help you sleep? :D |
I go outside and meow.
And I'm OK with that. I love my cats. Liz got them for me for a Fathers' Day gift 3 years ago. They're the sweetest (OK, maybe not smartest) cats in the world. They're good to the kids. They're good with the dog. They greet me in the driveway when I come home from work and walk into the house with me. They follow us down the sidewalk when we go for walks with the kids or dog. They hop into bed when we read the kids bedtime stories. They (usually) come home when I call them in at night. But I've felt awful these last 4 days thinking my cat was eaten-by-a-coyote gone. (Cause we don't really live in a coyote-frequented neighborhood. As in the kid across the street--you know who I mean--claims he's never seen one in the 26 years he's lived here.) And now I've found him! I'll be sleeping much better tonight, thanks. |
