Yeah, but I am wondering why he can't just buy some rebuilt calipers and new rotors, get it together, and rebuild the old ones at his leisure to sell later on.

This is Oklahoma. It's not like they've got Porsche parts shops all over the place. Heck, it takes the cops > 21 minutes to get to your house when you call 9-1-1, fer chrissake.

GH85Carrera 01-06-2012 01:23 PM

There are several Porsche shops in OKC, and a large Porsche recycler as well. There is not much in Arapaho OK for sure. I would bet Lindsey racing has all the parts he needs but those are not cheap. I bet Oklahoma Foreign has the used parts.

The 21 minute response times are for folks that live in the sticks.

Flieger 01-06-2012 01:28 PM

Yeah, but can't he just have something shipped from the 944 equivalent of PMB? I bought new S calipers from him then sent him the cores to get some of that money back.

Try getting parts fast in Australia.

Porsche-poor 01-06-2012 01:31 PM

Naw but it was a great stress reliever. I think I need to do that again tomorrow

vas930 01-06-2012 01:50 PM

Good for you, Rick. :)

I have removed the fog lights on the turbo.
Now to make up some blank plates to cover the holes.
Good fun job for the day.

Oh yeah, but only if you like the kind that are all curves with lots of elevation changes. I live in the foothills of the blue ridge mountains. Dave was amazed with how empty the roads are 'round here.

Thats the best type.
You can have good fun on those roads.
And keep under 100mph. :)

Rick V 01-06-2012 01:57 PM

Most of the back roads around her will have you wrecking at 80, but I did manage to see 120 a few times on some of the shorter straights

vas930 01-06-2012 02:00 PM

Even better.

I am doing a run on the 22nd.
On a great road just like that.
I will try to mount a cam and post it for you.
