LOL! you have a point. i am not known for my common sense about getting medical help. it drives my wife crazy. i hate going to the doctor for anything. my temp seems to be coming down a bit. i am thinking that if it gets north of 102.5, i am going to the ER immediately.

GH85Carrera 01-09-2012 06:56 PM

Well not quite. I have had a beard since 1978. Why the mention of my beard. ?

nynor 01-09-2012 06:57 PM

dave is just being mean, glen.

From the HS thread. :)

GH85Carrera 01-09-2012 07:06 PM

Oh. Yea our HS had a dress code rule. No facial hair. The girls skirts had to be at least as long as their fingers when their arms were straight down.

Porsche-poor 01-09-2012 07:11 PM

That's when you hope for long legs and short fingers.

I disagreed. The skirt I would say yes, but they would have something more than just a shawl. At least the girls around Cal Poly.

What say you?

Never seen anything near that racy on campus....

Hmm, injecting high pressure water between highly stressed rocks held together by friction can cause them to move? No!

Thats what 99% of the oil producers are doing in OK....

And now we have all these earthquakes...

porsche4life 01-09-2012 07:18 PM

Got my calipers back together, ready to go on the car.... That step will have to wait until the weekend though....

GH85Carrera 01-09-2012 07:19 PM

Oklahoma has been having earthquakes since statehood. Most likely even before.

porsche4life 01-09-2012 07:20 PM

Yes, but there have more and bigger quakes this year...

nynor 01-09-2012 07:21 PM

yep, my PC needs more RAM. i am running a conversion utility and task manager is telling me that i have 1MB free.

strong work on the calipers, sid. you need to take some pictures when they are back on and functioning. i bet they look awesome.

Man, LSU sucks tonight.

nynor 01-09-2012 07:37 PM

wow. i thought LSU would have it.

slodave 01-09-2012 07:47 PM

I'm going to have to redo this on my dads pc. My laptop ran out of RAM to save it properly.

Here's a pano from Badwater, Death Valley. It's made from 16 pix, in two rows. It's about 8.5 megs as a jpg.

nynor 01-09-2012 08:00 PM

damn, dave. that is nice. how did you make it so seamless? beautiful picture and beautiful work.

slodave 01-09-2012 08:11 PM

Thanks, D.

Photoshop takes credit for the stitching. Camera is on a tripod and I overlap each pic by about a 1/4. The more info and landmarks you can give PS, the better they come out.

Because I was shooting into the sunset (or what was left), the forefront is back lit. This one may be a good B&W candidate... And a quick convert shows it is. :) More later. Gotta pack for the next trip.

slodave 01-09-2012 08:15 PM

Another from Zabriskie Point.
