Yes they are. Very impressed..

Just got off the phone with the shop.......aside from all the seatbelt and sensors that need replacing, there's at least another 2k in body/mechanical work......the guy at the shop submitted everything to the adjuster......not sure if it'll be fixed or not.....right on the line....

I had to fight with my home insurer after we had been broken into. 9 Months it took to settle (for just over $2500 claim) and only after I sent an email to the CEO.

Fortunately in Oz all public company exec's contact details are public domain. A quick google and I had them.

My case officer called me the afternoon I sent the email, to let me know they were going to settle. I even had a phone call from one of the VPs and an email from the CEO apologizing for the delay.

I told mine you have 1 hour to settle the matter or I will be making phone calls and I will be head hunting, I didn't care who's head I chopped off but someone was going down. They started taking me seriously then.

My threat was to take my complaint to the gov industry watchdog. It then costs the insurer for the gov to investigate my grievance. Probably why they were happy to settle. PIA that it takes crap like this to get them to move.

Its to crappy out for hot chocolate. In fact its snowing again. It time to throw in the towel.

Rick V 01-19-2012 01:15 PM

Well it is kind of fun in a rather narsastic type of way. I sat in the chair, spoke very calmly, and made every word count as though they were bullets. I also made damn sure the body language was proper, like steepleing my hands.
I love face to face confrontations. Fact is I am on leave from work so I can calm myself, this was not good timing for them.

Unless the missus decides to go for the sugar free variety. Somehow the hot chocolate isn't quite as satisfying.

Porsche-poor 01-19-2012 01:36 PM

I could have used that yesterday to move the 6" of crap. Now today I need a powered ice scraper. I have about 1/2" - 3/4" ice on everything and now it stared to snow again. Power out all over the place. Fingers are crossed.
