That acceleration is just smooth...

Peters-Stahl in Germany makes polygonal rifled 1911 barrels
but read something couple of weeks ago, that they don't like lead bullets, something about lead fouling, causing overpressure and kabooms.

HHI944 02-12-2012 11:04 AM

Yeah, I've heard that's an issue. I don't reload so it's not a problem with my p9s

svandamme 02-12-2012 11:15 AM

i just don't think there's that much advantage to be found in em, hence why hardly anyone makes em

Rick V 02-12-2012 11:37 AM

Well I found out what happens when you have a dirty AR. (note I am not the one who didn't clean it properly the last time)
Not cool when a round jams up damn near all the way in and the bolt lock up. Won't go into full close nor will it return to eject the cartridge. Wonderful time doing a partial takedown with a live round in it.

HHI944 02-12-2012 11:44 AM

So who failed to clean it properly? Little miss poor trigger discipline? :)

Rick V 02-12-2012 11:52 AM

Nope the fella who gave it to me, AKA my dad

HHI944 02-12-2012 11:54 AM

Parents.......ya just can't trust em.

Rick V 02-12-2012 12:03 PM

Well he should know better and I will bring it up next time I talk to him.

HHI944 02-12-2012 12:05 PM

Yahhh, im supposed to be able to pick up the wagon tomorrow.....so im thinking they'll tell me maybe Wednesday...

Rick V 02-12-2012 12:08 PM

Cool

HHI944 02-12-2012 12:13 PM

I think im gonna bring a dead gecko with me to talk to the adjuster. Much more practical than bringing a dead caveman.

Rick V 02-12-2012 12:15 PM

Or a dead adjuster might work too. :)

HHI944 02-12-2012 12:17 PM

Don't tempt me.
I'm going nuts.....I really want to get in the s600 without having to out of pocket the the $$ i'll get from trade in

HHI944 02-12-2012 12:21 PM

I looked at a 964 c2 cab....really tempted, I just need back seats that real people can use and a decent sized trunk.

Rick V 02-12-2012 12:24 PM

We put my daughter in the back of Lanna when she was 16 or so, she didn't make it very far. :)

HHI944 02-12-2012 12:37 PM

The seats in the w220 s600 are roomy and the rears recline. Awesome features considering the age...

porsche4life 02-12-2012 12:39 PM

Joe....

You do realize that a v12 merc that is several years old sounds like a dumb idea right.....

HHI944 02-12-2012 12:41 PM

I've done a lot if research....seems they're fairly durable, biggest problem is plugs and coil packs. Im going in expecting to have to replace those right off the bat.

porsche4life 02-12-2012 12:42 PM

I recall there was something high dollar to do with the radio in Dave's fathers 500....
