GH85Carrera 03-14-2012 05:16 PM

Burpppp.

We had a great meal at our anniversary restaurant. They asked if it was a special occasion and I mentioned our anniversary. We got a free desert of a ice cream sunday. Yum. Burp.

porsche4life 03-14-2012 05:20 PM

Free food always tastes better....

Porsche-poor 03-14-2012 06:00 PM

I'm aware of that Rick... Always meet them in the place you'd least expect it too....

I will need to remember that. I like it better than Stijn's advice.

HHI944 03-14-2012 06:04 PM

Stijn's advice is very solid......don't dismiss it so readily.

Flieger 03-14-2012 06:14 PM

Well, when there is a less painful alternative I prefer to go with that.

porsche4life 03-14-2012 06:32 PM

I'd dismiss Stijn's advice readily... You just have to be careful....

That in a big way explains how George Michael managed to stay in his closet for so long.

i witnessed something very like that, but it involved teeners riding in large garbage bins down a steep hill. the bins had wheels. one of the rides ended abruptly when the edge of the bin dug in and launched the rider some ten feet high and and twenty feet long. i am pretty sure that one ended with an ER visit.

Porsche-poor 03-14-2012 07:05 PM

you lived! did they?

vas930 03-14-2012 07:13 PM

Well done, Glen.

The car is home and driving like a new one.
Rain all the way home.
Now for a big clean and get sorted for Saturday.
Got the bill.
Jeff was pretty close with his est. :)

HHI944 03-14-2012 07:28 PM

Holy crap G-Man! That sucks!
Max, when you follow his advice properly, you learn pretty quick and stop finding yourself in situations where a quick punch is necessary.
Nynor, better day at work? Did you at least get it off your chest and make your stance loudly and widely known?
Vas, good to hear the 930 is back. Regardless of make/model, it always sucks when one's baby is in the shop. I'll go 2 weeks at a time without driving the Landy, but if it's in the shop for 3 days I go nuts....

i think they got the idea.

I have to write one outline, take one test, and sit through three hours of lecture.... That is all that separates me from spring break...

Flieger 03-14-2012 08:30 PM

One lecture for three hours? That's rough.

porsche4life 03-14-2012 08:31 PM

No, 3 one hour lecture classes......

I did have a 4hr lab, that the teacher on two occasions lectured the whole time, only giving us a break at the 2 hr point.... Sid studied the hell out of the back of his eye lids....

HHI944 03-14-2012 08:34 PM

I used to show up to lectures with a huge travel mug of very strong irish coffee......I'd make it on the way there when I stopped at the bar where I bounced to peel the bartender off the booth where he'd passed out the night before...
