Awesome Stijn, mine is still not connecgted aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!! So p155ed off about that, I have had some long and meaningful conversations with the solar compandy in my very authoriative Warrant Officer voice, and they are whimpering on the other end of the line, I am sure that they would 5hit themselves if I actually appeared in their office, but it is about 680klms away so that ain't going to happen, but I am really peeved, and they are running around like chooks trying to get it working, but I feel like I am losing the battle. cough cough sniff

It would be worth the drive just to do it!! (at least that is how I roll)

azzarule 03-22-2012 01:05 AM

yeah I know but I have mellowed in my older age, can't be bothered, too much to do, list of priorities and the solar working is in there but a bit down the list, for now I have a very expensive "sculpture" on my roof.

Rick V 03-22-2012 01:07 AM

I have found that age is mellowing me as well. My intimidation actions are much quieter. Best part is they seem to work much better. :)

Me either but it sounded funny in my head.

She seems like a good kid, Rick. You should be proud and I know you are.

azzarule 03-22-2012 01:18 AM

My daughter is a tall skinny kid. She is an expert shot though. The only reason she wasn't tried for sniper when she was in the army is because they won't let women snipe. She is always reminding her ex-marine husband that she can smoke him with any fire arm.

Yeah she is a good kid, just still carrying a little too much puppy for her own good

ha ha ha, we are just going through the "let them women do everything on the front line" though process, not my ideal. I don't think that it is a good idea at all, the attitude of some of the Army neanderthals to having women "in the trenches" is a bit like "I want the ugly one in my tgrench, she will be grateful that I am interested, and it will help pass the time", sort of mentality, and that is not what we need, really.

svandamme 03-22-2012 01:25 AM

i'm actually worsening with age, in the old days i was to passive about my complaints and issues..
these days i put things on my hit list and i go out of my way to follow through on that list.

That list is primary over my regular todo list.

svandamme 03-22-2012 01:27 AM

Azza, so you got the panels on yer roof, about to move to the US for how long, and that stuff just sits there gathering rays for nothing? harsh.

Isn't this one of those issues you can get the military help you lean on whoever is bugging you, sort of in a way of "we are sending our peopz overseas for the job, and they have to have their mind clear from stupid stuff like this" ?

If she (ugly or not) has no problem putting a hole in an anonymous head at 1000yds., Fine by me. More power to her!

azzarule 03-22-2012 01:46 AM

Stijn, I have thrown the "I'm posted overseas " card at them and they are moving a little faster, but imho not bluddy fast enough. They are whining about the installer isn't available as they live in Sydney and are not coming down to Canberra for a while, (Sydney is 350klms away) but I have said that is not my problem, get someone else to look at it, but but but but...

Not happy about the situation at all, after all I have already missed the summer sunshine. And I would get 46.5 cents a KWH

Yep Dave there are women out there that could thread a bullet at a 1000 yards, but its not the shooting that the guys have a problem with, its having a set of boobs in the trench or in the lines, tent etc, they can't see past them, I am not saying its all of the the guys, but it only takes a couple to really upset the camaraderie, and the whole discipline, and morale of a troop goes out the window.
