I got the tires mounted on the wheels today. Tonight I cleaned the wheels and waxed them. Gee wiz that is fun, waxing Fuchs. It was amazing how much dirt came off the painted parts. They are a lot better looking now. Right now my car is dirty from the autocross in the rain but my wheels are clean!

I gave the 944 a wash late Sunday only to discover I don't know where my chamois is after the move. Now she be spotted with calcium and I've got to do it again, and wax as well.

On the up side, the fuel pump is finally in transit. Time to hurry up and wait.

I put a smaller battery in the 911 today. I have not washed the 911 in at least 6 months. I never use soap when I do.

I wax once a year and take her to the carwash inbetween. I'll normally just spray her down with high pressure water then low pressure no spot water. Then we go for a little drive to air dry.

With her not running, it was some soap and the garden hose with the plan to chamois off. It didn't quite go to plan :(

Now you sound like one of those guys on F-chat who debate about how best to wash a car without using even water.

:) That's easy. California Duster!

Call TRE in the morning and check on the status of your alternator. As of late afternon, it looks like it's in the same spot as yesterday.

Noah930 05-22-2012 10:59 PM

Doorstop, huh?

I'll stop by in the late morning.

Noah930 05-22-2012 11:08 PM

Holy smokes. Did you hear about this, Dave? A mountain lion on Third Street Promenade?

Yeah, saw that earlier. Too bad they shot it. Less than 100#. The thing wouldn't mess you up too bad.

Noah930 05-22-2012 11:14 PM

For some reason, I thought of Derek when I read this. Must be the Iowa thing.

News just reported 80#. That's not much bigger than Hazel. But it's still a wild animal. Surprised animal control couldn't tranquilize it.

They probably only had one tranq gun. Had they had two... It's unfortunate that it was a juvi. The local cats have had some issues over the last few years. A number have died due to fights and they were young.

Outback Porsche 05-22-2012 11:24 PM

Ah, finally time to go home from this hum drum place. Whoohoo.

See ya in a wee bit SmileWavy

Noah930 05-22-2012 11:26 PM

Only one tranq gun with one shot? Wow, that sounds like they're well-prepared.

slodave 05-22-2012 11:28 PM

See ya, Jeff.

I have no idea, but they are single shot. My guess is that the first shot spooked the cat and it got riled up and tried to split. Had there been a second gun ready, they may have had a better chance of hitting with the second shot. Speculation on my part.

RKDinOKC 05-22-2012 11:35 PM

@#!$%!! Grrrrrrr

slodave 05-22-2012 11:53 PM

928 issues?

vas930 05-22-2012 11:58 PM

Howdy.
