You are spoiled with Utah roads. This state has some top notch roads. Mostly smooth and nice. You don't know what a rough road is if you thought any of that was rough. I guess summer is road construction time.

don't get me wrong.... that road is smooth. except that far left lane, this morning, was like a gravel road. honestly, it took me by surprise when that guy passed me and left a literal cloud of dust and debris in his wake! i felt bad for the other folks in porsche's behind me (there were quite a few, displaying numbers, etc.).

It turns out the plane the guy was flying was not the one he was building. It was one he had bought from another person (the one who built it).

I realize this sounds arrogant, but I find it very frustrating that I can do most things as well as, if not better than people who actually do that thing for a living. OK, maybe not as fast as "pros," but with a better end result. Is there no pride in workmanship anymore? Grrr.

Thanks D for the wonderful meal. Great food, great beer and best of all great company. Thank you again.

Sid, have a bottle of special beer to haul home. I will uncork it and share it with you and Richard. It is a big bottle so we will have plenty. http://img.tapatalk.com/40374e65-8861-56ed.jpg

This is the bottle next to a regular bottle of beer.

You folks will just have to guess who this group of people is, and what is going on.

I got back to the hotel and found a good parking spot. The car next to mine is a Euro 1985 model. Minor differences only.

Wow, you're parked next to #722! Isn't that the car that won the Mille Miglia?

It's just a chitty week all round eh Max, sorry to hear.

Looks like you got a big arse Grolsh bottle there Glen. Enjoy.

nynor 07-12-2012 07:42 PM

that isn't grolsch inside! much higher test. ;)

Outback Porsche 07-12-2012 07:47 PM

I figured it'd probably be your home brew D. In which case it would be much better than grolsh - actually most beers taste better than grolsh. I've always though grolsh tasted soapy.

I've never seen a grolsh bottle that big before.

GH85Carrera 07-12-2012 07:49 PM

Yea, I had a some of Ds, beer. Right from the keg. Same stuff as the bottle. Very good beer.

Noah930 07-12-2012 08:02 PM

Wow. It's raining.

slodave 07-12-2012 08:07 PM

Not surprising. :) got that storm system coming up from Mexico.

Flieger 07-12-2012 08:13 PM

SLO was beautiful as always today. Down here it is cloudy and humid.

Lemons!

Someone dumped a box of 'em in the lunch room. I grabbed half a doz. Any suggestions what to do with them. I was thinking a lemon meringue pie tonight was the least I could do.
