Morning, G.
If you come to the 'Ring, will be joining us that night in Bonn as well and then travel on down to see Stijn? |
If my car passed tech inspection, which is expected. And the weather is good, a few laps

If my car passed tech inspection, which is expected. And the weather is good, a few laps would be nice. Dunno bout spending the night in Bonn tho. Maybe, maybe not.
|
Live a little! What about joining us for a night with Stijn?
|
G, I expect we'll pass on the 'Ring if the weather is bad as well, though I'll still make a point to drive to it. I don't feel the need to add additional elements that could cause me to crash my cousins car. :D He's already allowing me to drive it, even offered to toss me the keys and venture on my own - something Germans don't do. I guess I "wowed" him on the New Years drive this year and he trusts me. :D
|
At some point, I'll message you my cousins cell number. I'll have my cell, but it'll be cheaper to talk on his.
|
Okay, suggestions as to what caused this... As my dad and I were putting his plane away, he called me over to look between the front seats and the immediate two backseats - they are back to back. On the floor behind his seat is a fire extinguisher secured to the floor and a bit of space under his seat. In that area, he found a shredded paper towel. He does keep paper towels in the plane, way in the back and it's a roll. This appeared to be one sheet. It's known that mice and rats will run up the landing gear and find a way in, just like Porsches. There were no stains on the carpet, no droppings at all anywhere near this "nest" and the shreddings were as white as can be.
WTF? |
Anxious passenger??
:D |
Good call! I forgot to mention the pack (emergency stuff) he keeps behind his seat. It would be sitting on top of the FE. :) No way a passenger could do the shredding and hide it there. :D
Those seats are not thick! It's all about the weight! The backrests are a lot thinner than a car. There's a delicate balance between weight savings and elegance. |
Morning Y'all
|
Morning, Rick.
|
Yes it is and I am not happy about it, I mean Morning Dave
|
So it seems that your daughter knows all about Angel Flight. That must have been some flight!
|
Yeah they did a touch and go in Texas for fuel and that is all. Basically nonstop from Hawaii to Pittsburgh.
|
Must have been a corporate sponsor. Very few private pilots have jets that can do Hawaii to Texas. :D
|
Does it really matter? I was well aware of the program before someone in my family needed it. Dave please tell your dad I said thank you for his contribution to the program, and yours as well.
Not to sound overly dramatic but if it weren't for the help of this program there is a very good chance my grandson would not have survived. The surgery he needed can only be done in a couple of places, and he needed it quick. So from me, thank you |
No Rick, it doesn't matter. :) That's just a very long flight and must have been a jet ride. :) I guess I also thought that this program was for shorter distances.
You are very welcome. :) It's a service that all able pilots should consider. I will when I can. Until then, I will ride along as support from time to time. |
Dave, I thought the shredded paper towels were a speciality in Salt Lake City ;) Has D, been out there to visit? ;)
(just joking Nynor) |
Haha! I forgot to mention him in that post!
