Looks like you had a lovely dinner, the Garage Queen has had a lovely day.:D

We really had a great day. We need to do these kind of outings more often.

The Hershey swap meet in April seems to have wet weather more often than not, but not so wet that it kills the fun. I have been there when the weather was sunny and warm, too. Since I don't make it up there every year, I may have missed some nice weather swap meets. Anyway, IMO, it's worth going to, especially if you have bits you need.

Seriously glen, shoot me what you think is fair on the TV and the freezer... I know my dad is interested in both...

I have a nice fridge and an OLD washer & dryer, and a iMac as well. ;)

I will look around for similar TVs to come up with a price.

Buongiorno

Jferr006 03-03-2013 04:21 AM

I wonder how many pages I have to catch up on after a couple of days.
I survive(almost didn't) my first kids sporting event. Some parents are real douches living vacariously through their kids.

Good morning!

Rick V 03-03-2013 04:23 AM

Morning Y'all.

Morning Rick.

Rick V 03-03-2013 04:28 AM

Howdy Pete. Okay are you going to be joining us in July? Huh? Well?

Icemaster 03-03-2013 04:31 AM

I'm planning on it. Had to move the trip out west to 7/13 - 19. Still planning on heading your way though.

Icemaster 03-03-2013 04:33 AM

Debate is whether or not the misses will be willing to travel for that long with no A/C sitting in a race seat. We'll see.

Jferr006 03-03-2013 04:34 AM

I'm really looking forward to this trip and staying at the B&B. The upside to sequestration is me and the kids will actually get to see him on weeknights.

You at an early soccer game Janet?

Beth and I drove Lanna down to FastPat's in South Carolina, in August. Triple black car, no AC, and my aftermarket sport seats, I thought she was gonna melt.

Yeah, that's what makes me nervous. Don't think the ride back home would be much fun. She's not too happy with the top off unless she's wearing a baseball cap. We'll see. Weekend in a B n B might make up for it.

My older boys basketball team won their semi-final tournament game yesterday, final is today. Good thing is they go to a school where the academics are priority, so the parents of my kids teammates are competitive, but really positive and supportive all around. Other teams.....wow.

We've had them in a lot of sports and thus far have been lucky enough to avoid the parental crap for the most part. Only real issue was one baseball game last year when the younger was in second grade. Another father and I went over to the opposing bench and had a nice talk with a couple of the other fathers and the ump. Their idea of home team support was over the top taunting.

Great lesson to pass on.

I used to coach little league and I loved it, the kids were great and we all had a great time. The parents............................
Lets just say I pulled a couple of them aside and had a little talk with them.

No doubt that the ac system is heavy and a 911 is faster without it. But is is tooooooooo hot around here to live without ac.

on stinking hot days I plan on having the top down and the a/c on full bore, until I want some power, then I can turn off the a/c. Usually the older 911's a/c was just so ugly under the dash that I never wanted it in a car, but Marilyn's is unnoticeable, and works really well.

I know on the other family cars you can really feel it on the pedal and see it on the tacho when the a/c cuts in, but haven't had time really to notice it on Marilyn, although I am sure we will soon have hotter weather and be able to see what impact it has on power, but I am willing to forgo a few hp to keep cool.
