Cloggie, you're the first European Pelican to post on the Stijn thread in quite a long time. Pity, we all enjoyed the posts from Stijn, Livi, and Geronimo.

The boys took third in the band battle.

We arrived and all is well. Gotta get up early and wash the baby. We drove through some HARD rain today. No lumpy frozen balls of rain fortunatly.

Porsche-poor 06-22-2013 03:35 PM

Glad to hear it. Enjoy.

Connor had the most amazing experience today. This older guy came up to the stage side and pressed $5 in his hand and said thank you. Connor had only 5 minutes to get his gear off and had to ignore him. A lady the guy was with told me he is deaf. I explained that Connor was being timed but they could go talk to him back stage she told him and they rushed back. Afterward Connor was talking about him and I told him he was deaf. Connor said that explains why he said he loved the way the music felt. Made his day to bring some joy to the guy.

Why yes it is. Man card violation to admit it brings a tear to these old eyes to know the kid is not so bad after all.

It is a cool story. It will likely stay with him. Good job dad. Ya raised a good kid.

Jferr006 06-22-2013 04:24 PM

Definitely a good kid ;)

Evening, y'all. Me and my little man ran a 5k today... My first. I'm competitive as hell so since a Frienemy was close to beating me I took off. I'm surprised I did it. Super proud of my 6 y/o for keeping up with the front running adults for 2 miles! Hes quite the athlete. The best news is my hometown and my best friends kid will have a handicapped accessibly playground to show for everyone's hard work.

Yay! Are you addicted? I started running 5ks about ten years ago and now... I am as slow as heck but at least I am "running".

Porsche-poor 06-22-2013 04:40 PM

Its nice to know that mom and I did something right.

Congradulations to the pickers, pokers, runners, and parkers.

Shouldn't that be pickers, pokers, plodders, & parkers?

Yes! I've been doing it wrong running on treadmills all these years
Get this: I ran it in my Vibram five fingers! It works your lower body so hard.

I hate the treadmill. The only time I use the treadmill is in the summer in AZ when it is 100+ outside. Blech!

Porsche-poor 06-22-2013 06:04 PM

Ha I just don't run. Bad knees!

Outback Porsche 06-22-2013 06:12 PM

I hate it when I get the runs ;)

Especially after eating chilies.....
