Come to Thunder hill Glen... Pretty sure the only trees around here are planted... ;)
|
richard, yeah, i went to the doctor.
i really don't know how i would have messed up the wastegate plumbing, as i didn't go near it. as for fuel ratio issues: that is why i installed a wideband before changing anything. per the wideband i have, with any boost the mixture is under 13:1 and drops quickly as boost builds. long before it reaches full boost, the mixture is 11:1 or less. i also have the O2 sensor circuit disconnected from the DME, so it runs rich all the time. also, it will go into limp mode if there is any detonation. i know this because if i don't use the 92 octane ethanol free fuel, it will go into limp mode, if i drive it hard. |
Okay my son must be smoking the good stuff. His killer Volvo is all white, with the interior removed and painted nuclear green and now the sunroof is painted like a Swedish flag, It looks cool but.......................
:D |

pfft, must take after you11 :D:D |
Ya gotta remember this is the pumped up turbo running 21lbs of boost. Yeah he takes after me. :D
|
Didn't the turbo back exhaust include the merge for the waste gate exhaust?
All I know is the state of technology when I had my two 951s. And the last thing I messed with I usually inadvertently cause a few new problems. |

last summer, i ran the exact same setup with zero issues, so i am at a bit of a loss. |
my foot is feeling much better. still swollen, but it is on the mend, it seems.
|
We are home. The car is FILTHY and awaits a bath. It is unpacked and laundry is going.
We drove a grand total of 3,133 miles. I filled. Up this morning in Sullivan with the typical 10% ethanol. The light on the gas gauge was just starting to flicker as we were getting off the turnpike. It has a full tank of 100% gas in it now. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/30/ytu3a5em.jpg The road home is along side and on top of Route 66. That is part of the old Rt 66 just next to the interstate. |

What did the doctor say about your foot? |

at this point, i don't know for SURE what the problem is, but i am pretty sure that it is calcium/magnesium related (due to my over-consumption of beer). one of the drugs he gave me, indamethacin, is nasty stuff (sudden cardiac death and other fun things) and i didn't take any, believing that it wasn't gout. when the nurse called to tell me the results of my normal levels of uric acid, she said. "if i were you, i'd stop taking the indamethacin immediately." i didn't inform her that indamethacin never entered my temple. so... the upshot is this: i am going to finally stop drinking beer (its been four days). i just drink too much of the stuff and i don't seem to have an upper limit. i have also been taking some magnesium supplements, which will also resolve the calcium issue, if i am correct. so far, i feel better than i did a week ago, overall, mostly (if not entirely) due to the fact that i haven't been drinking a crap ton of beer. the foot is getting better, but is still swollen. the swelling is going to take a while because (again, assuming i am correct) the calcium crystals causing all the irritation will need to resolve and this is going to take some time. i also have been drinking tonic, as quinine is an anti-inflammatory and quinalone, one of the drugs they give to combat calcium crystals, is derived from quinine. yeah, the amount of quinine in tonic is very low, but a proper dose of quinine or quinalone is more or less toxic. my plan for the near and intermediate future is to continue not drinking beer, get a PCDoc, have some tests done, probably starting with simple electrolytes, followed by rheumatoid arthritis markers. and probably a lead test. what i am doing right this minute, magnesium supplements and tonic, cannot possibly hurt me, IMO, so i'll continue with that until i can get the other ducks in a row. frankly, this is a great excuse to quit the beer and pretty strong negative feedback. |
at my local gun shop, they one of these, "used":
Beretta AL391 Urika 2 they want $800. i handled the spoon. it has never been fired. there are no brass marks in the chamber and it smells like cosmoline. yep, cosmoline, NOT gun oil. it is a brand new spoon. i think i am going to put down some money on it so they will hold it for me. this spoon is light, rugged, and it shoulders flawlessly. i shouldered it several times with my eyes closed and every time it was right on the money. |
its a done deal. i just put $200 on the beretta over the phone. i am stoked.
|
Nice piece D. I'm glad you went with the twelve, you will be too. Keep in mind that you will not be able to increase the capacity of that gun since the gas block and works is in the end of the tube mag.
|
it comes from the factory with a plug, limiting it to two in the tube, one in the chamber. remove the plug, you have four in the tube, one in the chamber. or so i have read..... :) after reading some reviews, it just seemed dumb to let it pass by. i've seen some for sale above $1100.
edit: other sources are saying 3 in the tube, one in chamber, maximum. |
Oh no it is a good deal, I would be all over that if I was looking for another shotgun.
|
i don't plan on using it as a home defense weapon. :) that said, four buckshot rounds coming out of that autoloader would be pretty convincing, IMHO. :D
supposedly, when that shotspoon came out, it had the fastest fire rate of any autoloader. LOL! the upland game-birds are going to crap themselves! |
Well the family of deer that live on the backside of my property came out for an evening graze in the yard they were fairly close to the house. Doo-Doo the monster black cat saw them through the window and started making those possessed noises a mad cat makes. It is good to know if my home is ever invaded by a buck I will be safe

FARK!
Went to do the brakes on the jaguar today. The rear was easy and perfect. .... the front rotors the guy at the parts store sold me are about 3/4 inch to small in diameter and the pads are completely wrong.... |
