I am sure it will have GIANT wheels and a stupid loud stereo when they are done.

Foose is a great designer, but I will be glad when the 20 inch tires fad winds down. Some cars are great with big wheels. Many 70s & 80s cars look stupid with oversize tires. YMMV

Got to agree with you Glen. On the right auto, they look good. On the wrong one, they're up there with cardboard body kits.

The best thing about stupid loud stereos is the sound quality at 'normal' volume levels.

GH85Carrera 09-27-2013 05:10 AM

My wife's car has a great sounding factory stereo system. I can understand the folks that like good sound in a car. I hate the loud thump thump when some moron wants to share his racket with the world. It is not the stereo it is the loose nut behind the steering wheel that is the problem.

My Elky still has just two little 3.5 inch speakers on the dash. They can make enough sound to be heard.

Outback Porsche 09-27-2013 05:27 AM

Yup. My stupid loud Bose lifestyle is in the house where it belongs. Don't see the sense putting something like that in a car.

happy noon everyone. TGIF! Was almost late to work this morning. I don't have my back up alarm clock anymore. Morgan would jump on me and lick my face if my alarm was going off too long.

tweezers74 09-27-2013 09:07 AM

Yay! I got an appointment with my cornea specialist today. Late in the afternoon and an hours drive away but I don't care...

GH85Carrera 09-27-2013 09:37 AM

So everyone is thinking you are winking at them still?

Porsche-poor 09-27-2013 09:49 AM

good luck at the doc.

GH85Carrera 09-27-2013 09:56 AM

Yea, hopefully he can get rid of the pain, and get your vision back on track.

Porsche-poor 09-27-2013 10:20 AM

I think I'll be going home early today. Last weekends standing in the rain and the loud music has plotted against me and I have an ear infection.

Think I'll go play in traffic.

Eye pain sucks. Eye pain is IN YOUR FACE where consciousness lives when awake! So much more difficult to deal with than pain in an extremity or even other parts of the face. I call in sick, tell them I am blind, go to eye doc, and med myself to sleep until the eye is better.

I will take whatever pain meds they will let me have if something hurts. I have no-one to impress with my macho ability to endure pain.

RKDinOKC 09-27-2013 11:03 AM

I like bigger wheels....

Do think the 928 looks better with 18 versus 17...

I like my new big Elky wheels.
Those massive 15s are just about right.
Lots better than the old 14s. ;)

Speaking if big wheels.... We are picking up a car with 18s tomorrow... ;)

Splain this though, dad called to get insurance, and the full coverage will be $11 cheaper than on the current car, despite the fact that the new car has 2x the HP and is worth 3x as much.... insurance don't make sense at all

That looks horrid. Rubber band tires. I bet the ride is awful.

I hope the owner is happy with it. Glad it ain't mine.

Time will tell on the ingrown hair front, but I got a much better shave than I've been getting.

Plus that razor just looks cool!

very nice! i've been doing the same for about two years now. i'll never go back. so much less hassle than the 'disposable blades', cheaper, better shave, faster, closer, less ingrown hairs, in short, it is awesome.

Omg. I am going to whine a bit. My eye is F******* killing me right now. I thought it was getting better but it swelled up again and is really painful. They offered me pain meds on the ER but I turned them down and now, the ED Tylenol isn't cutting it and I am dying. I feel like a wimp but it is such an annoying pain. This is the eye I lost sight in three years ago so it always freaks me out too. Gonna call my cornea specialist in the morning to see if I can get in tomorrow.

I am glad this place is open 24 hours so I can complain and whine all hours of the night. ;)

you know what they say about the cause of 'goin blind'..... LOL!

that said (sorry for being callous), i am sorry you are in pain. what you have going on would freak me out. i hope the pain stops soon and your eye is okay.

one more thing, sid, the brush really does make a difference. i was too cheap to buy one. my wife spent a ton of money ($75) on a brush for my birthday. the brush really does lift the hairs and such. i was amazed.
