I want some pumpkin roll! We didn't have one this year!
|
None left, Sidney. You want me to add that to the baked goods I am going to bake your family when I come? ;)
We don't have a lot of food left at all! I bought an 18 pound turkey. |
We had 12 people and had a mountain of leftovers if that gives you and idea of how much we cooked...
2 12lb turkeys and a ham.... |
Yeah, that's too much good. I think I guessed it just right. People took home leftovers and I won't be eating turkey for weeks and weeks. I will probably buy a turkey this week when they are on clearance, freeze it and make it next month. I do that if I find a lot of turkeys on sale after Thanksgiving... Good to make turkey noodle soup.

mmmmmmm... Turkey noodle soup!!!

A break in play for lunch - tally ho what?
Snags = Sausages, Tweeze. |
Jeeeeeefffffffff,
I see you are getting in a bit of the ol Creeeeekit in the Alice, I wouldn't have thought the grass could be that green. Its just not the same watching Creeekit without Tony Grieg! |
snags and dead horse!!
Must be a good day in Oz. |
Wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner with good friends, so time for bed :)
Night all. |
Night Azzy.
Burp. Good turkey. Good night to the rest of ya. |
Let's see had lunch at my nephew's…
Huge turkey, instead of a gravy boat they had a gravy battleship, 3 kinds of stuffings, green been casserole, candy yams, baked apples, cranberry sauce, fresh yeast rolls, ribbon jello (lime and orange jello with cream cheese and pineapple between), asparagus, grilled zucchini salad, smasheded potatoes, pumpkin pie, apple pie, pecan pie, chocolate icebox pie, ice cream, home made whipped cream. The 6 teenagers present did the local turkey trot 5K run this morning so there were not much in the way of leftovers. Funniest thing of the day was my nephew's family schnauzer. She would not allow anyone to nap. if you closed your eyes for more than a couple of minutes she would climb up on you and bark in your face like she was on a mission. |
Good night... Boys are finally running out of steam and about to fall asleep on the couch. :) What a wonderful day.

Wow, a very small local gun shop is doing a black friday deal.....first 15 purchases get a raffle ticket, one wins a kel tec plr16..........they've got some other minor stuff going on as well and sales on everything in store......they open at 7 and already have 25 people in line........nucking futs.......
I plan to stop by sometime after opening and hopefully miss the moron crowds and snag some of the last few parts for my build..... I'm beat.....started working at 0800......stopped about 30 minutes ago.......16hrs of freaking insanity...... |
I had to meet the sister in law at the mall. I forgot to take something to their house. We met outside of Macy's at 8 the doors opened. It was like watching every space movie where the ships hull is breached and all the people are sucked into the vacuum. Crazy people.
|
Whooo! That was a lot of catered food! I forgot to put gravy on my turkey. :( Getting back up to get it was not going to happen. I had to concede two pieces of turkey.
I gotta say, not so sure of using a high-end restaurant is a good idea for TG. I like the place on a Friday night, but I knew that their twist was going to make it into the simple Thanksgiving dinner. The dreidel battle was epic as usual. |
Cool glad you had fun.
|
I have had a most excellent day. Big big smiles....
|
How's the mad trumpeter dong? Still fired up?
|
He was still banging out a tune when we left the ground. :)
|
That's some stamina!
