I'll try to find that article. IMO, the 964 rocks. I had a '95 993 and I like the '93 964 more. I also like the 964 looks more than the 993. Too jelly bean-ish for my taste. Of course, YMMV.

The last year I was stationed at Minot ND, we had 56 days where it did not reach 0 degrees F. It is -20 there this morning. Balmy here at 11 F.

It's cold but correct :)

GH85Carrera 01-08-2014 05:23 AM

Good morning folks. It was above freezing for my commute today.

We may actually get a good rain shower on Friday. My car is clean again so the weather will come up with something to get it dirty again.

Hey its HUMP day! :)

HHI944 01-08-2014 05:31 AM

Happy Humpday Glen!

It's freezing right now, but supposed to warm up pretty quick. I'm off to go look at a car!

GH85Carrera 01-08-2014 05:34 AM

Are ya just gonna go out to the interstate and watch them drive by? ;)

You need a 60s AC or maybe a old Morris Minor. Something Brittish and exotic ;)

I'm not thrilled with 993 styling, either. Though when lowered and on '02 thin spokes, it looks great. I think the 964 with the standard D90s is a bit slab-sided and underwhelming in the opposite direction, but with a set of 3.6 Speedlines and lowered, it looks fantastic.

Is this what you're thinking of?

I wouldn't mind more of a 964 Cup look for my garage queen. :D

Sold a set of wide body 18in Speedlines with sport cups on them this past spring when I realized my foot was not going to let me autocross. Decided I like the looks of the Carrera IIIs on the GTS better than the Speedlines.

You can almost see one in the foreground...

Exactly what I'm thinking/dreaming of: a 3.8 RS. But that's also the widebody version and being a turbo guy, I'm partial to those phat phlairs.

However, in a more financially realistic perspective, I was thinking a C2 coupe (like yours SmileWavy) with the same Speedline wheels.
