Maybe, except since she found out I enjoy it too much she doesn't do that often anymore ;)

porsche4life 07-03-2014 09:59 PM

Another one of those things we really didn't need to know... ;)

Thank you Richard
Happy birthday America!

No blowing crap up today....I just got my spoon clean last night.....that russian spoon food is incredibly dirty. Also threw an ambi selector on it....the 'thumb to fire, trigger finger to safe' method is pretty nice

LOL, just saw the commercial for pistachios with the stoned eagle falling off the porch.

Rick V 07-04-2014 10:02 AM

Ahhhhhhhhh that was a nice nap after a rather long parade, now to go enjoy some of the chamber of commerce weather we have here today.

I am truly having fun in the garage. The AC is cranking and it is cooler out here than in the house. When I ran the conduit to the lift pit for the hydraulic hose I also ran some Romex. As of today I have 110 volts GFI 15 amps. :)

No more dragging a extension over to the work area. I got to use my drill press, the hammer drill, and lots of other tools. I really did have fun doing it. Now it is time to start the oil change and valve adjustment on the 911.

GH85Carrera 07-04-2014 03:18 PM

Stijn!!

That wife of the dude that owns the 911 that is letting me adjust the valves came into the garage and demanded her Friday night dinner out. So I had to stop my valve adjustment job and change into nicer clothes and take her out.

Got pulled over by the nicest city officer today....young guy. I was at a red light, got my left turn light and let er go.....He pulled me over a block later. He was sitting in the oncoming traffic lane when I turned in front of him. He was laughing when he came up to the car. "I thought I had you on a red light infraction" he says "but now I'm not so sure!!! My light was red and your car just kinda flashed outta the corner of my eye", We talked about the car a bit....He said " well it looks like you know how to handle it....sorry for wasting your time". This is not the first time I have been pulled over for nothing!!!! LOL!!!!!
How many of you guys have been pulled over for no other reason than the cop thought you had to be doing something wrong?:D

The amusement park just 1.6 miles from my house is going crazy with fireworks. It has been going on for over 40 minutes.

porsche4life 07-04-2014 07:40 PM

I bet. The casino a few miles from my folks house always does a crazy show.

Sounds like our neighbors are having fun in the street...

We had a surf and turf for dinner. Filet mignon and crab. Mmmmmm! I had a few blue moon summer wheats with it. :)

RKDinOKC 07-04-2014 09:02 PM

Well, believe it or not my nephew put on a fantastic fireworks display. There is a big swimming pond on my brother's farm out in front of the farmhouse with gravel beach, dock, floating diving platform, rope swing, zip line, canoes and paddle boats. Everyone (40 total family and a few friends) sat in lawn chairs on the bank of the pond and watched the display launched from on the other side. The reflections in the pond really added to it. This is the first year he set them of with an electronic controller so he really went all out with all different kinds of stuff that was obviously sequenced to work together. It lasted for 45 minutes. Next year he plans to sync it up with music. Quite the pyromaniac.

Porsche-poor 07-04-2014 09:05 PM

The entire I5 valley below us has people launching stuff. You never know where to look. Some of it is huge.

Birthdays will never be the same again :D
