Haha, Karma is a b***h
My neighbor had a conversation with me last fall as I was winterizing my mower. I run it out of fuel, then put stybil in the tank and crank it until the carb is full and it runs out of the muffler, and I am done. He told me I was wasting my time and money. Yesterday I put a charger on the batt, pulled the fuel filter, thus draining the tank, installed a new filter filled the tank with gas and hit th starter (after an oil change and cleaned the airfilter, She fired up fairly quickly and ran like it was used last week. Well now he is out in the yard, cussing and throwing tools because he can't get his mower to start or run for long. I am gonna wait about an hour or so and mosey on down there and be a smug prick, and ust ask if he is having any trouble.
Why oh why don't people listen to those of us who know about the properties of engines and fluids and insist on doing things the hard way. I am sure the cost of his carb cleaning and possible rebuild is about the same as 5-7 years worth of the staybil I use.
It's good to be king

Yep, didn't get to winterize my Mower 4 years ago when I stepped on the nail. Costed me $180 to get the varnish cleaned out new filters and plug.

Well that last backfire did his mower in, unless it was actual gunfire, either way his mower ain't running no more

I read that wrong the first time..I thought he shot YOUR mower. You know, for you being a smug bastard about the fuel stabilizer.

Okay, so I have this dog frisbee I really like. It's made of gumabone which is soft and flexible, but dogs can't chew it up. And it's an actual Wham-o Frisbee!

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41bn2MnBbKL.jpg

The first one of these I had lasted through 18 years of dog chewing. And my first golden took it everywhere with her. If she wanted something to eat of drink she would plop that frisbee down in front of you. After she passed and I got Camber we ended up losing it playing frisbee near a pond, it sank. Luckily I was able to get another one at Petco. I still have it despite it being Camber's main chew toy for 10 years!

Thought that since I had a new puppy, I might get a new one, but can't find them anywhere!!!

Argh, why do they always quit making the really good stuff?

GH85Carrera 04-12-2015 07:12 PM

Check EBay. They may have old new stock.

RKDinOKC 04-12-2015 08:00 PM

Nope. None to be found, dern it.

Found on the Wham-o site where they licensed a toy line including the original frisbee to a company called Precious Tales, But that was just over a year ago and there are no toys on the precisous tales web site. Just dog beds and shampoos.

And to make matters worst, I can't find the frisbee I got. Had it a few days ago. My guess is Pepper carried it outside then we had that wind the other night. Must have blown away.

RKDinOKC 04-12-2015 11:07 PM

Found it. Whew, those dog frisbees are almost $12!

Rick V 04-13-2015 01:13 AM

12 bucks for something that will last 12 years before you turn it into a submarine is cheap

Work-cation is getting closer. :)

ckelly78z 04-13-2015 03:58 AM

My dog tends to catch the frisbee, stand on it, and pull hard with his teeth until it turns to shreds, he did this with 2 Kong rubber indestructible frisbees.

Jim Richards 04-13-2015 04:01 AM

My dog will try to catch tennis balls, but has no interest in frisbees.

Our dog is 14YO and still has his "tire" we bought when he was a puppy. He is just a mix breed. German Shepherd, Collie,Lab,and Australian Sheepherder. He has a a little D-Bag in him but we aren't sure that's an official breed.

It's real rubber and still in great shape. It's an outside toy that he loves to "fetch".

GH85Carrera 04-13-2015 04:37 AM

Our female dog has virtually no interest in toys. She only plays with our male dog Reuben. He will play fetch inside a few throws with a stuffed toy. They have a few chew toys but those mostly stay in the toy box. Their main focus is the evil squirrel that is in the back yard. It has a nest in the tree in the yard behind our and often comes to our back yard to eat the pears out of our Bradford pear tree. I wish he could eat all of the pears. They are pea size and best. The dogs love to eat them after they ripen and fall off. That gives them real bad gas.

They tree is pretty, but it is nasty messy. It starts in the early spring with the husks of the blooms falling, followed in a few days by the drifts of blooms. The blooms STINK and will blow into drifts. Then the stems that had the blooms fall and those clump together like hair and also bunch up in drifts. Of course once the pears are full size the squirrel with bite them in half and we get a rain of split pears. Then the rest of the pears ripen and fall. They can cost the ground with a layer of messy goo that really sticks to shoes. Then the leaves fall and later the stems from the pears fall ready for the next cycle.

Good Monday morning folks!

Oh Haha 04-13-2015 04:56 AM

This is what Mack plays with. I tell him "go find your tire" and he will go to the toybox and open the lid to get it.
