I especially like the Aussie flag - nice bogan touch ;)

azzarule 08-02-2015 03:48 PM

We have claimed the pier for Australia lol

azzarule 08-02-2015 03:50 PM

we are here for three months until we go home. It is only (I say that word as a tax payer) costing the Embassy $5,000 a month, bargain, it was $10,000, but I negotiated it down.

I am very goood at negotiating

Outback Porsche 08-02-2015 03:50 PM

I know, right!!!

The place is so peaceful, no road noise, no police sirens, no ambulance sirens, no nothing, but the waves gently lapping the wall.

Outback Porsche 08-02-2015 04:00 PM

It sounds like a little holiday before you come home

azzarule 08-02-2015 04:09 PM

yes it is, although we are both still working, our real holiday will be when we are on our way home, we are heading to the UK to visit the relatives, then to France to visit friends, stay in an equally delightful villa belonging to friends who are Aussies, then head home end of November.

azzarule 08-02-2015 04:11 PM

But will be heading to Tassie mid December for Christmas, and my nephews wedding.

Nice.

BTW, it's snowing in Hobart as we speak

Good Morning

Looks like its predicted to be another weird summer day. It's 73°F and 79% humadiddy.

Fired up an old Mac mini as a Kodi MCTV box and hooked it up to the Big TV.
The old mac mini has HDMI out and an Apple Remote.

Watched the new Mission Impossible yesterday evening with it.
Anxioiusly awaiting the new episode of Humans.

Good morning all. It is strange weather. August and low 70s. No complaints about that.

So Azzy, after a few years in the USA you are stealing away another Carrera from the supply in the USA. That makes mine just a little more rare & valuable, so THANKS!. ;)

Just got through a weekend with 6 house guests, a 1 week old and 19mo old with a fever...it was almost a relief to come into the office this morning.

Who am I kidding, I'd rather be hanging with the wife and boys.

Jim Richards 08-03-2015 05:42 AM

Best wishes with the move to Oz, Azzy! SmileWavy

Porsche-poor 08-03-2015 06:08 AM

morning all. seems like I was just here. oh yeah I was on Saturday. working the weekend sucks.

GH85Carrera 08-03-2015 06:39 AM

We have beer in the fridge here at work for working on the weekends. Most of what I do on weekends I can do with a VPN connection from my cell phone or iPad.

I do bring home some projects to let my home computer churn on. It is way faster that anything we have at work. It churned out a 18 GB digital orthophoto after 3 days of running. I need a twin CPU motherboard that can handle way more memory than 32 gig. I want a 128 GB motherboard with 24 cores.

Oh Haha 08-03-2015 06:41 AM

Stupid ****** pool. taking a water sample to the pool store for help..

Survived the storms we had last night but they were intense for awhile. Survived the idiot drivers too. The freeway was completely stopped coming back as it usually is on a Sunday evening with folks heading back South to the big cities.

Jumped off and took the back way. It takes longer but at least we were moving.

Ouch..... This won't buff out.
