Congrats on 14 years.

Congrads Wayne, Keep on trucking.
Back in HS we had one science teacher who was smoking hot, I mean like please molest me hot. The only problem was she taught basic science and the school would not let me take that class, it was for the kids who needed a basic concept. Damn advanced classes killed me there.

There were hundreds and hundreds of them available. Maybe that is why he was in the accident. All the police were raiding the donut tables.

RKDinOKC 09-29-2015 09:13 AM

Hundreds and hundreds of donuts! Wow! That should distract the security so yo can escape.

Gallons of coffee as well. Too bad the rest of the food wasn't very good. You would think a convention center that size could afford to hire someone that knows how to make something other than freezer burritos.

At the hotel in French lick the ONLY coffee that they had around was Charbucks garbage. I went to the local grocery store to buy some good coffee. There should be laws about having only Charbucks "coffee" as the only choice. It is a major crime.

Those things are awesome, eat half a dozen of them and you get to share them with your coworkers the next day

Pickled pigs feet & pickled eggs with a side of jalapenos washed down with a bowl of chili and beer is the best. You can make children cry and women faint. I don't recommend that for lunch before a date with a new girlfriend however.

Thermal camera fart? I think we have finally found the end of the internet

GH85Carrera 09-29-2015 01:06 PM

Not until they have smell-a-vision. I just hope that it has a volume control like sound!

Rick V 09-29-2015 01:09 PM

Yeah but I will want to "share" my logging boots then

Spent most of the day down at the new digs with the owner making the policy changes he has wanted for a while and tweaking a few things.
It is nice to have some input to how things are run, and set policies that will be followed by all. I hate a messy shop and I detest a system that is only used from time to time. The only other guy that the new changes will effect was on board with it. He also likes to have some order to avoid confusion

GH85Carrera 09-29-2015 01:15 PM

Wait, you are bringing order and logic into the situation?

I thought everyone was supposed to just run in circles and point fingers at the other guy.

Jim Richards 09-29-2015 01:28 PM

The universe is chaotic. Why d'ya wanna go and mess with that? :D

I eat these for lunch, but heated in a toaster oven and I get to share same day. :D The ones at the conference were heated in a steamer. I guess I expect more from a conference, especially this one since the food used to be really good. The eggs were still cold and made me sick. I have eaten raw eggs so i don't think it was the temp that did it.

The coffee was pretty good. Not char-broiled like that other brand Glen mentioned. The donuts were better than Krispy Creme and 3x the size and free. For supper Moonshines was across the street.

When you are done there Rick, come set up some policies here. Oh wait, we have them but they don't get enforced properly.

Oh well, off to see the wife and kids.

Jim Richards 09-29-2015 01:39 PM

Soggy day...start of a soggy week ahead. Heading to SoCal on Saturday. Can. Not. Wait.

Well I have been doing this for a few decades I have a decent grasp on what works and the bottom line, that is good fr the customer and the shop. Once the system becomes routine I predict a nice jump in revenue for the place. The guy I am replacing smoked a tad too much weed and was way too lax with things. I also took a bunch of work away from the dedicated inspector and shifted it into the shop.
The dedicated inspector is my son so he and I had a long talk about what he thought would help him and make it better for us. He is salary so it won't hurt him any, and he has been there for four years and has a solid grasp on the place.
It is gonna be good, and we are gonna have a lot of fun. Now if I could just get the IT guy there to run the three hard lines I deed I would be all set. My tools roll on friday morning, I scheduled the rollback this morning.
I am actually excited about this, too bad there are cars involved
