Good thing you got that well. The closer it gets the lower water pressure gets. Sure is windy enough for one of them crazy grass fire things.
Last big one we had near here some kids started. |
It looks like they got it knocked way back. It might be killed off but with the goofy winds it does not take much to fire up again.

Another beautiful day in the 70s here. The nicest weather all week is smack dab in the middle of it.
|
So why would you want to move away from a place with great wonderful weather like that? I bet DC has not had a significant earthquake in several years, and no mudslides at all! You should just stay and keep working. :p
Good over the hump Thursday folks. |
Bite your tongue, Glen!
The wonderful weather will be completely gone in a few weeks. We had a 5.8 earthquake about 5 years ago. Damaged the Washington Monument (it's been repaired) and shook DC pretty good. |
Yea, but no land slides or droughts or county wide brush-fires! :p
|
We have hurricanes, floods, and drought. Mosquitoes galore (DC was built on a swamp). Humidity you can cut with a knife. And snow/ice. And best of all, politicians and lobbyists out the kazoo! What's not to like about this place?
|
I hear the traffic is a breeze to navigate through as well. ;)
But that part is no different than the left coast. |
Mornin
My nephew and his famly just got back from going to DC for a vacation. |

We were constantly asked where the kids were. When I told them we leave them at home locked in the laundry room and grandma fills up the food bowls and they have access to the back yard they looked at me funny. In reality they have full access to the house and grandma's lap but they do have to go outside to go to the bathroom. |
They're kind'a furry by now, eh?
|
They were furry at birth. Especially the long haired female. They love to snif around the back yard and eat bugs and the rotting pears from the Bradford pear tree. We lost the tree to the ice storm so no more pears for them. Just the occasional mouse.
|
Pepper is out barking and jumping up at the squirrels as they run and jump through the trees and across the top of the stockade fence.
My first golden would see a squirrel, then just run over to the last place the squirrel touched the ground and sniff it. She did like to run out into the front yard and bark at the birds on the phone lines. The birds would almost immediately all fly away and she would come back like she had accomplished her mission. |
lol I love it. Connor and I will hit the big kid (non-sissy pants) rides. Taking one day to go to the San D. zoo by bus.
Last time we were there I got food poisoning at the house of blues. Will not be eating there again. |
Funny how food poisoning will turn you against a food.
Wonder if I can sue Grandy's because I got food poisoning on their chicken and couldn't even stand the smell of chicken for years let alone eat it. |
you can try. some lawyer out there will take the case.
|
Afraid any lawyers would only get enough of a settlement to pay themselves, or worst I would have to pay them and not get anything myself.
