It was only another reference to the fart sack. ;)

Bye bye $5k

Better get a few laps of the sheets every now and then...

My direct boss left work early today to stop and get a couple of clownfish for his daughter's 7th birthday.

Did not find out if this is his first saltwater aquarium or not. Sounded like it.

When just out of college I setup and maintained a 60 gallon saltwater aquarium. It took three weeks to get the water livable for fish. It's got to get the whole plankton and bacteria eco system going before the fish will survive. Especially if you don't put in live sand and live rocks or coral. Even then I could only add one fish at a time or it would shock the ecosystem with the extra food and waste of another fish.

Because of the salinity my aquarium evaporated 3 gallons of water a day that I had to replace to maintain the correct specific gravity or salinity. They didn't have fancy affordable reverse osmosis water filters back then so I had to keep 3 days of water sitting out. First was for the chlorine to evaporate. Second and third was to treat to take out some of the bad chemicals which would precipitate to the bottom.

Kept my salt water aquarium going for 6 years.

Had...in the order I got them.

A Blue Tang like dory
Blue Girdled Anglefish (basically yellow)
4 Yellow Tail Damselfish (they schooled swimming around together all the time)
A Brittle Star (a starfish you can actually watch move)
A Clownfish (Like Nemo, but had all it's fins)

Considered getting a small octopus. But found they are very difficult to keep in the tank and didn't want to get up in the middle of the night and step on it.

The last thing I got was a cleaner shrimp, they are actually supposed to help keep the tank clean. Even though I watched it for over a month in the store it introduced some kind of sickness that ended up killing everything in the aquarium. It was sad watching them each deteriorate and die over a couple of weeks. Brought in a fish doctor and tried several things, but evidently they got something that wasn't curable.

Kinda lost my interest in keeping a saltwater tank.

Now we know why your wife came home with the Malibooo instead of having you go along on the purchase.

The Range Rover was really the only underpowered vehicle I've owned. Didn't really enjoy driving it because of it.
Well, almost forgot about the GMC Jimmy with the 305, but i fixed that with a 400.
The 914 wasn't that quick, but it felt like it.

$5000?!!!!!

Holy crap, is it gold plated?

RKDinOKC 10-28-2016 07:32 PM

Must be one of those sleep number mattresses with thermopedic memory foam cover that has a craftmatic adjustable frame with one of those coin operated bed vibrators. And pillows made out of breast implants with bamboo covers.

Outback Porsche 10-28-2016 08:07 PM

Apparently we needed a hand crafted solid timber bed frame with matching hand crafted timber bedroom furniture and a memory foam gel top mattress?????????

RKDinOKC 10-28-2016 09:37 PM

I was close. Did you at least ask if that model comes with a coin operated massager?

RKDinOKC 10-28-2016 09:47 PM

If it's a really good one I'd recommend nipple lube.

Outback Porsche 10-29-2016 04:00 AM

I found this store in the Myer Centre in Adelaide

https://www.honeybirdette.com/

They have flavoured nipple lube.

The sales assistants were live modeling some of the gear.

Went to my files to get the title for the Cayenne S so when I receive the lien release I can go get a new one. My file drawer is EMPTY!!! I can get new copies of the titles for $12 with my current registration, they told me they could look it up as well from my name and address. That doesn't bother me it's just as hassle. What bothers me is all the maintenance receipts since before I owned the car are GONE! There were three file folders full of stuff on the 928. Also the folder on the Cayenne S is gone as well. I have a small file drawer on my desk so I file things that come in there, then once a year a move the receipts and stuff to my archive filing cabinet. I have everything back to January the is in my desk, by almost all of my archive files are GONE. Everything back about 7 years. Older stuff is still there like manuals for appliances, TV, stereo, tools. Wonder what the heck happened?

Guess I am going to have to start locking my file cabinet in my own house! Maybe I need to turn the alarm system back on?

Oh Haha 10-29-2016 01:55 PM

That is weird Richard. Who the heck would want those documents besides you?

I noticed a puddle of anti-frozen in the spot where the Maliboo was parked last night. I sent wifey a text to stop by the dealer and have them fix it or give us a different vehicle.

She did and it was a loose radiator hose clamp. Really? Noone checked those? Pffft.

Anyway, I was full of energy today so I cleaned our gutters and tarred the chimney stack on our house and the neighbors. Then I hand washed and waxed the Maliboo. Literally, every painted part I could reach got wax. I even used my clay bar on the hood so it's as smooth as a baby's but-tocks now.

Oh, I also ran over the fallen leaves with the tractor, chewing them up into tiny bits. I do not bag them. They get mulched and rot away into fertilizer.

Didn't have any dizzy spells today, either. Especially since I was up on the 2nd story of the house today. That would probably have hurt a tad if I got dizzy up there. ;)

We made another trip up to Enid, Ok today. The traffic on I-35 was heavy up to the Stillwater exit. Lots of fans going to the game. We decided to avoid that route on the way home. We went down highway 74 which is 20 miles shorter but runs through some small towns and has farm traffic. About the same overall time for the trip. H74 is VERY STRAIGHT and there is one area we call the curvy spot. It is a gentle S curve that a passenger would not notice if they closed their eyes. Then the hilly area has a few 40 and 50 foot gentle rolling hills. Lots of farms and wheat fields with Black Angus cows grazing. Rather bucolic.

HHI944 10-29-2016 03:13 PM

I fought the car and the car won.....

Actually, everything is good to go except the stupid supply line for the clutch hydraulics. The fittings are frozen to the

Everyone on forums hitches and moans about the master, but it really wasn't that bad, just tight spaces and interesting angles.

RKDinOKC 10-29-2016 03:16 PM

The only thing I can think of is that while I was recovering from my eye surgery, all drugged out, I, for some drugged out reason, and unbeknownst to me, hid all that stuff from myself. Ordered a new title for the 928, putting off the Cayenne S cause it is going to have to be redone anyway to removed the lien. Tag agent said the registration receipt was all I needed to get a new title. That the important part is I had a photo ID that looked like me and matched the name and address on the title in their records.

Hoping after I get the new title the stuff will show up or will vaguely remember what I did whit that stuff. Am going to get a document safe/lock box so I can hide that from myself too.

Another day at work, yay :(

Jim Richards 10-29-2016 04:13 PM

Working today, Jeff? That's crazy talk! Isn't it still Saturday?

RKDinOKC 10-29-2016 04:39 PM

You get time and a half pay for weekends, right? I don't.

Welp, know it's like closing the coupe after the hens started pooping in the yard...went ahead and ordered a fireproof, waterproof, document safe. It's also supposed to protect CD's, hard drives and thumb drives. But I do already have all my electronic stuff backed up on a Fireproof, waterproof drive, especially PDF's of my warrantee deed and home title documents. Now I gotta figure out where to put the safe so i don't lose it too!
