I have never been a fan of watching other people play games. It is just boring to me. We went to bed and my wife had the the national champ game on. They were in the 4th quarter. I feel asleep. I discovered the score in the morning. Good job Clemson. Alabama has enough championships in recent years already. Spread the joy.

My mom was a big fan of the Cubs. She only lived to age 76 so she never got to see them win the big game. I was glad to see the cubs win after so many years.

I have been to several baseball games and took my wife for her birthday to Jack Murphy stadium when we first started dating. I don't think I have ever watched an entire game of anything on TV.

F1 is not a game or a sport. It must be watched or I will go nuts.

Oh Haha 01-10-2017 07:30 AM

I used to watch the Deeeeetroit Tigers with my Dad on weekends. I haven't really any interest in watching sports and I don't root for anyone. I just don't care.

Brent--same weather here today and tomorrow. Gee, thanks. ;)

My neighbor lady bought a new snowblower a couple of weeks ago and called me this morning to help. It would shut down when she engaged the auger. Found a big ol' stick jamming it up. She then came over and cleaned our driveway. Sweet. I shoveled the edges and around the fireplug but it was nice to have it done. I have one but I need to rebuild the carb or buy a new one. My FIL gave it to us a couple of years ago.

No school for the kiddies today. yay

Now that is something I can sit and watch. I still don't root for one driver over the others, though.

I have always been a fan of Ferrari since I was in high school so I pull for them. mostly I like the back of the pack racing. Two guys out front (same two every race) is really boring.

flipper35 01-10-2017 07:37 AM

Hey, we neighbors like to share our weather. :)

The worst is the slushy stuff plugging the snow blower. I hate that, especially when it starts to freeze in the chute. I guess I need to try the WD40/Pam trick.

I figured you guys are about a day behind us most of the time. No school for our kids either but the daughter is doing her college course online and it gave her time to get caught up on that. She may not like it now, but will appreciate having those out of the way after she graduates. Thought the high school only gives her half the credits than if she took the hs math class.

I stopped watching F1 when they allowed them to refuel.

Porsche-poor 01-10-2017 07:40 AM

they do not refuel now so get back to watching it.

Racing is indeed a sport. Like mountain climbing or track and field.

It is 63 degrees right now and supposed to be in the mid 70s tomorrow. :D

Porsche-poor 01-10-2017 07:46 AM

it is not a sport its life!!!!! lol

flipper35 01-10-2017 07:48 AM

See how much I pay attention to it these days? I still watch WRC now and then when I get the chance. I wish they still had Gruppe B. They did an exhibition at the Brazil F1 race back in the day and the Audi ran a lap time that would have qualified 8th in the F1 race.

I use non stick spray on our shovels. My go to snow mover. Broke it in half during the last snow event. Fixed it up and it's good to go again. Yeah, they are about $10 at the dollar store but it's the principle of NOT buying another until necessary. :D

I bought a snow shovel in Bend one year and brought it home to Tacoma. I have never used it.

flipper35 01-10-2017 08:05 AM

I had a push broom like that. Then the head split in half and we had to buy a new one.

So does the non-stick spry work?

RKDinOKC 01-10-2017 09:31 AM

Don't have a snow shovel, snow blower, or even a leaf blower. But do have a 4x4. a 2x4 too.

Been watching F1 since Mika Hakkenen ran out of gas 300ft from the finish line, got out of the car, took his helmet off, and threw it down.

One of my friends has a great way to pick where to live. Go into the any big box hardware store and ask were the snow blowers are. If they point at an aisle, drive further south. The the clerk replies "the what" you have gone far enough south. They don't sell snow blowers around here. We get snow on occasion but it is not usually deep. We get ice storms but there is no such thing as a ice blower.

Back when I flew R/C planes it was fairly common to go flying with winds of up to 25mph. It was kinda fun, you could fly backwards with respect to the ground.

When visiting my brother in Atlanta went to a local R/C field. The wind got up to 8mph, they all packed up and went home.

In Oklahoma if you didn't fly if the wind was over 8mph, you didn't fly much at all.

Understood that Florida had the most flying days in a year.

for Christmas I got two very cool gifts. One a 1/4 scale 911 motor that is clear and runs. I had a lot of fun putting it together. The second one is a drone made from legos. I have been working with their technical support to get it to fly but no joy yet.

I got a toilet bowl light for Christmas

You walk into the bathroom and the toilet lights up.

My niece said she really likes hers?

I owned a 4x4 once upon a time. A 1978 Dodge Ramcharger with a 2" lift the PO put on to plow with. It did have the bush bar mounted to the frame which came in handy for when I hit a deer and when I had to create a new trail when I was unable to go back up where we came down.

We beat the ever living snot out of that poor thing.

With the winter tires available now we haven't seen the need to get a 4x4 but in looking at new Durangos they seem to only sell AWD around here. With Blizzaks I was pushing snow with the front bumper last year in the middle of a corn field with only RWD. If it is real bad we just don't go anywhere until the plows get out.

For example like this.
