I htink it is in all dogs nature to tell the humans they are food deprived. They just can't help it.

GH85Carrera 03-12-2019 01:24 PM

In my bachelor days I had a Doberman that adopted me. She just loved my front porch for some reason. I let her stay and she was a wonderful dog. She did not care that much about food. I would keep two bowls of food on the floor and she ate what she wanted when she wanted. If I poured grease from frying hamburger on it, was eaten right then.

She would sometimes go two days and not eat, and suck down both bowls the next day. If a bowl got eaten, she would bat it around to let me know to fill it. I tried to get her to drink from a water bowl but she ignored that and went to the toilet. With her pointy nose she could get water even if the lid was down, she just opened it and let the lid rest on her head.

My butcher friend would send me home with a cow leg with both knuckles on it. I would make her stay outside with it. She loved those big bones.

What’s a dog’s purpose?

To us humans: Our faithful companions.

To our dogs: Damn it, feed me!

RKDinOKC 03-12-2019 02:24 PM

Pepper is a bit more demanding that feed me. She likes to play, get scratched, and do things that get rewards. It is so fun to see her come ask me to let her out, then prance to the back door when she knows I am headed to let her out. Or same thing when asking for water, a treat, returning with the toy I asked for, Or waking me when my sugar is low and heads to the bathroom where my meter is. etc,

I heard on description of a dog, the perfect human parasite. They have us trained to feed and shelter them, free medical care.

Morning all. Can I go back to bed?

GH85Carrera 03-13-2019 06:01 AM

Hey, the weatherman was wrong again. How shocking. All of them have been predicting rain over and over and it keeps missing the metro area. We get a light drizzle after they predict 3/4 and up of rain. Last night they said 100% change of rain and maybe .34 inches. We got 1.15 overnight. No complaints. It is just funny how wrong they can be, and how often they are wrong. The never ever admit they blew it, but somehow they ALL claim to be the most accurate. I am pretty sure that is impossible for them all to be most accurate. Of course no one at all really expects them to really nail the forecast.

Happy hump day all!

Good day everyone!

I received the official job offer after a few negotiations... too good to turn down.

RKDinOKC 03-13-2019 07:33 AM

I now have a foot and a half wide canal from my front porch to the water meter by the curb. It/s 3 ft deep.

Porsche-poor 03-13-2019 08:13 AM

SHHHH Don't tell them where the bodies are buried.

So the City is the typical model of efficiency we all expect from government services. After a week, still no inspection. That is nuts.

I just spent more time at my CPA's office. He gave me the bill just for his services and then took me to lunch. He bought me a sandwich. ;) See, there is a "free" lunch. It only cost me a large fee and I get a sandwich. I think he figured I would loose my appetite after I saw his bill so a sandwich was enough.

With one company that "owns" the airplane, and rents it to the other company and all the possible ways to move money around in a 100% legal way, it gets expensive. It will make filing my personal taxes even more fun.

Of course we paid a lawyer to set up the contracts with ourselves to rent our own airplane to and from ourselves. He was expensive as well. In the end it is more about liability limitations than taxes. The airplane has lots of insurance, and that is crazy expensive as well.

For a minute there I wasn't sure if you were talking to Richard or Andy.

Warm and rainy and foggy today.

flipper35 03-13-2019 12:54 PM

I thought so.

Porsche-poor 03-13-2019 01:00 PM

With todays college scandal we really don't want to know where things are buried.

RKDinOKC 03-13-2019 01:04 PM

Bob says that not only are the extraterrestrials going to gas the whole planet to make us more complacent, they are going to disable all our weapons. And already did recently to keep someone from nuking Hawaii. North Korea?

The DVD he bought says all the world leaders have agreeded to all this.

So, are we supposed to welcome our new overlords?

Anyone going to donate $100 to diabetes thru Rennlist for a chance to win a new 911?

Well, I am waiting for my share of gold. Are they going to pass out gold bars that we have to melt down on our own or do we just all lug around a 27 pound bar of gold to buy stuff?

RKDinOKC 03-13-2019 01:18 PM

Don't know cause I ain't spending $20 for the DVD to find out.

Wait, we could carry cards that we can charge things to...now wait, we already do that.
