She talked to the company IT department and they showed her the correct mouse clicks. She just had a brain fart.

Morning all.

Those are allowed every so often.

porsche4life 02-25-2021 05:50 AM

As someone heading into a 3 hour training session that I have to facilitate, mornings shouldn’t be allowed. We should be able to sleep until noon. 😂

Porsche-poor 02-25-2021 05:51 AM

good luck

All my life when I hear the alarm and it is time to get up, I throw off the covers, raise my knees up in the air, tense my stomach muscles and drop my feet towards the floor. That sits me up on the side of the bed, I drop my arms down and that pushes me into the bed and I use the bed bounce to literately bound out of bed, awake and happy. Even when I have to get up much earlier than normal.

I learned long ago, do not attempt any conversation with my wife. Don't talk to her or ask questions. I can say good morning the the dogs that run around our bed from their bed on the floor. I do the morning shower and get dressed and off I go.

I have never understood people that mope around in the morning like they partied all night like it was 1999. Get up and go. After my wife has showered sometime as late as 9:00 AM she is ready to be human.

If we don't allow mornings, when would we sleep? :)

I am not a morning person. I can go to bed at 9:00pm or 3:00am and I will have the same amount of crankyness when the alarm goes off. Unless we are going hunting or fishing, then the alarm doesn't bother me.

It is my least favorite time of year at work right now. Budget planning!

porsche4life 02-25-2021 09:25 AM

Yup I’ve never been a morning person. I can get 12 hours of sleep and I’m still not pleasant until I’ve had some coffee and time to wake up.

pete3799 02-25-2021 09:58 AM

I'd like to say i spring out of bed at 3:30am.......but ......i do get out of bed.

flipper35 02-25-2021 10:02 AM

Pete, there are days I don't get INTO bed until after that time.

GH85Carrera 02-25-2021 10:07 AM

Wait, there is a 3:30 AM?????

I though the clocks just went from 11:00 PM to 7:15 AM. I just go to bed and put my head on the pillow and a few seconds later it is 7:15 and the wife's iPad is chiming for me it is time to "go to work" again.

I watched the 1991 version of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider last night. The teenage boy in me liked it. It is such an obvious computer game marketed to teenage boys version of real life. She is cute, and wears her outfits well. Huge boobs and tight shorts or leather pants are just pandering to the male viewers. She can grab a rope with one hand with her elbow bent to 90 degree, get pulled into the air 40 feet all while shooting bad guys with a machine gun in the other hand while wearing just pajamas. Yep, I believe that. ;)

It was a very intellectual movie.

Way better than the 2018 remake.

Morning all. yesterday the computer program I use to draw with quit working. IT tried to repair it 2-3 times then did the uninstall. I now have no way to do my job. Its a sign.

GH85Carrera 02-26-2021 05:51 AM

Back in the days when I worked at a photo lab I was the guy that always got there early, made the coffee, and sorted my projects for the day and drank my coffee in peace. One day as I pulled into our parking lot I saw water gushing up under the street in front of our building. I knew that was not a real good sign.

As I was unlocking the doors a city employee followed in behind me to inform me they were about to shut off the water to fix the water main. I pleaded with him to give me 60 seconds to make coffee. He walked slowly back to the site foreman and I made a batch of coffee and seconds later the water was done.

With light sensitive materials the film or paper has to be processes, and washed with clean running water. The owner came in at 8:40 and saw all the employees in the kitchen laughing and talking. He was pissed, but I stopped his rant with the news there is no water. He said, OK if we can't do production we will clean this place top to bottom and I replied "clean with what" and he was deflated. He was even more pissed when he saw no coffee, and a dirty pot in the sink. We all went home and he stayed to answer the phone and work the front counter.

The water was fixed late that afternoon.

I had my cup first off since I was there by myself. The other employees drank the rest.

They should just bring you a new machine. Maybe the new 64 core thread ripper with a ton of RAM and a good gaming card so you can fly the virtual Corsair in your off time!

Porsche-poor 02-26-2021 06:30 AM

I'm not a coffee drinker so I could care less but a cranky boss is a bad thing.

I like the way you think but around here its just the bare basics for hardware. It fun to watch the looks on the engineers face when you tell them "yeah I could do that but not here with this computer and you don't want to know how much I charge to use my home computer for work"
