I would never have pegged ya as a headbanger G

slodave 04-06-2011 12:46 AM

Bang your head!

Geronimo '74 04-06-2011 12:49 AM

When I was in my teens, I listened to rock music a lot but I never wore the clothes or had the long hair. So I don't think I count as a headbanger.
I moved on to dance and electronic music, but still like rock and will put on a cd one occasion.( Linkin Park, Marilyn Manson, you know, rock for beginners.... :))

We have been busy with several tedious jobs recently.

Yesterday I spent several hours just annotating a job to the specifics of the customers contract. It is a highway contract so the government contract has some stupid rules. They do that only because: "it has always been done that way"

Back in the stone ages before computers stereo mapping was done on analogue stereo plotters. It was vital to have each frame of film annotated and a contact print made of each frame of film. Now with computers the computer program takes care of that. It is a total waste of time to do it but they have it in the contract specs that have not been updated in 20 years so we spend hours labeling each frame of film with a device designed in the 1960s. It is a real mind bender trying to keep each frame of film labeled with the proper string of mostly gibberish.

Ah well, that is why it is called work. I was so busy yesterday I did not have time for my afternoon nap!

G-man I was pretty sure you would enjoy those. Did you pass them on to some other buddies?

Geronimo '74 04-06-2011 05:09 AM

Yes, but no repsonse yet, maybe they're lost for words.... :D

Stijn!!

Hawaii is a fun place to be but the trip to and from SUCKS.

Well it does not have to suck. My first trip back was a blast. It was a cruise ship and it took several days. My first trip over was in the back of an C-47 facing the back of the airplane. Unpressurized and low and slow.

Today=crazy

Went out to drive Rover, not even no start, but absolutely nothing when I turn the key. Dead battery. And it was fine the day before. Put charger on it and wouldn't even charge. Disconnected negative ground from battery and the battery has a full charge! Hooked battery up and starts and runs fine, but Battery trouble light is on when I turn off the car.

Called my Rover mechanic guy and he is not only out of business, but in Jail.

Found another Rover guy but he is in Norman OK, thats 30 miles from Edmond.

Drove the Rover down the highway 30 miles at 50 mph because I discover that when I try to go any faster the engine cuts out. Seemed like 100 miles. Rover guy in Norman says other Rover guy installed a cheap rebuilt alternator from Advanced Auto Parts and he is surprised it lasted a week.
Getting a Bosch alternator that fits with a little modification and twice the output.

Driving 50 mph for 30 miles on highway very frustrating.

Nynor, I'm speaking mostly hypothetically, but if I was to be passing through SLC mid may, could I crash on your couch?

Anyways... Night guys...

nope. you could crash on my futon. in the cool basement. with the memory foam mattress. and the windows blacked out, because i used to work night shift. then, you could have a homebrew, or several. and some homegrown gourmet mushrooms, if you fancy.

I prefer to take my homebrew before I sleep... Not after....

I'll let you know in the next few days if it comes to fruition....
