It is so hot here you can take a pic of road reflectors that look like fried eggs!

The other day here in Phoenix the high was 113 degrees F. Okay, so it's been hotter. The bad part was that the morning low for several days (we're talking about the *cool* of the morning before the sun comes up) was in the mid to upper 90s. We had the warmest July on record here. It doesn't cool off here 'till October.

I've ridden about 200 miles on my bike in full gear this week, usually around peak heat time. Not fun.

Don't cows start exploding when temperatures get well into the triple digits?

I used to do that. I came to my senses when I realized I was getting home from work more frazzled and exhausted than when I left work.

I save the 911 and the bikes for the more civilized temps of November through March.

Yeah but they are already cooked nice and rare. Just pick up the gibs and toss em on a plate.

It's actually a precursor to BBQ.

used to build barges for my father and the bottom steel was hot enough to fry eggs (tried it) in the shade with the sides not on yet. used to stand on 3/4 plywood while welding with a 5 gallon bucket of water next to me to soak my shoes now and then. don't miss that job.
