Tonight's Top Gear
For starters it was a good one, and the last of this season. The advertisement piece was hilarious, and they had Jay Leno as their star in a reasonably priced car. But the final Aston Martin bit is sitting oddly with me. It had their usual brilliant camerawork, but it almost felt like............goodbye. Anyone else get that vibe? I sincerely hope that I'm wrong.

Maybe they're secretly coming to america and jay is backing them on some cool project of a show......funny they had him as the final guest of the season.......coincidence?

I just figured maybe they saved the best for last.
At one point Jay's name was mentioned as being a host on an American Top Gear. That show concept now seems to be dead, and Jay didn't show interest in being a host.

Nah,
Just JC being on a downer... He sees the Aston as being the last cry of the petrol head era....but he said that in the early 90s and has repeated this mantra often... He's having to make a choice...stay with Top Gear and remain a marginal figure or go move into full time print journalism (ditching TG) and becom a mre important figure in UK politics and opinion. His written work is better than his TG stuff...

Downer or not, i was in UK last weekend, and i was amazed at how much speed enforcement hardware there was...
If one was to loose control of ones car, there is probably more chance of hitting a speed camera, then a tree.
