No one ever complains about their spouses here. We're all saints. And I don't know who posts on the risque threads, but it isn't me, and I swear I don't even read them, what threads?

the guy sounds like a two year old, from his very own post.

for the record, my wife is awesome and she complains a LOT less than she has a right. i've never heard her complain about me buying go fast parts or tires or wheels or getting expensive maintenance done. she was an absolute saint about my '77 triumph and the expense of keeping that monstrosity running, right up until the end where she flatly stated that she hates the bike and wants me to sell it. i did and had the ducati in the garage two hours later, along with a smiling wife.

Wow Nynor, there is something wrong (or very right, I'm not sure which) when you can pass a Ducati off as a low-maintenance motorcycle.

What is an obviously intelligent, articulate (and probably hard working) woman doing with that lazy DOUSH? She can do a lot better than that.

Hell, Cindy's still mad at me for selling the 911S. But not as mad as some who thought they had the right to tell me who it's next owner should be...

you have no idea what a nightmare that triumph was. parts falling off, breaking, electrical crap smoking. i'd ride the thing an hour and wrench on it three. my maintenance bill last summer was easily $1000 in parts, i did all my own wrenching, and dozens of hours of my time.

the ducati had a short in fuel pump wiring, cost nothing to fix. this spring i replaced the front tire, belts, and some valve train parts that were broken and had the shop do it. cost me $750. i predict that will be the only money i spend on necessary maintenance this season.

I ask my question in jest.

Snipe: not everyone (every girl) is hot. Heck, most people aren't. But while the girl in the article might not be the prettiest, she's still got her brain and work ethic going for her. So maybe in our superficial world she won't land a hunky guy. So she'll "settle" for an average looking guy...who, as it turns out, is as intelligent, caring, and nice as she is. And they'll both genuinely be happy for it. Why she settled for a jobless, unmotivated, poorly-educated, lazy, and not-so-good-looking illegal alien is a bit of a mystery to me. Hope she does better the next time around.
