The gov't apologists in this thread are an example of why this crap goes on to begin with.

I have an idea. Abolish business licenses and tell Big Brother to take two lemonades and shove them where the sun don't shine.

Around here, the government extortionists charge $4K a year for a Use Permit. WTF is a Use Permit? Schools and marine-related businesses are exempt from the Use Permit, so every business around here is either a private school or a boat designer.

I have a feeling that if the city guy didn't do what he did he would've gotten in some sort of trouble......
$e 32oz lemonades are certainly more than a kids lemonade kool-aid stand.......
Imo kudos to the kid for trying to get to disney, but I think the mom certainly had the plan layed out as to how to really make enough money to achive that goal.....so if all she needed was a permit she should've gotten one (if not financially unreasonable).......do I think you should need a permit to sell lemonaide? Not if you're in front of your house.....even hot dog vendors have rules to follow, as should $2 lemonaide stands.....
I think it was blown way out of porportion without enough facts as far as the radio station goes.....if they were arrested it would be another story.......but that's not the case here.....
