How Many Pelicans Does it Take to Change a Light Bulb?

How Many Pelicans Does it Take to Change a Light Bulb?

21!!!

One to actually change it (not the owner of the light bulb but rather a local Pelican that knows how to change one).

One to lend the ladder.

Four to stand around and discuss the proper twist method, optimum bulb wattage and proper candela strength.

Two to watch the Speed Channel while the work is being done.

Three to drink the beer and wonder when the munchies are going to start coming out.

Two to check out the other light bulbs and discuss upgrading to LED or Fluorescence.

One to take pics and post on PPOT

Three to say will show and don't but comment on PPOT about it.

Three to show up that never said they were going to.

One (the owner) to sit back and enjoy...

Dantilla 08-13-2009 08:46 AM

And then comes the frowning upon from the purists saying the bulb should have been left original.

Superman 08-13-2009 08:57 AM

........to say nothing of the torque spec discusson.

Don Plumley 08-13-2009 09:14 AM

7 to get into a heated discussion about what "Lefty-loosey, Righty-tighty" really means...

Seahawk 08-13-2009 09:15 AM

One to mention there was a thread about this last year and recommend you use the search function.

M.D. Holloway 08-13-2009 09:17 AM

seriously?

Gogar 08-13-2009 09:18 AM

subscribed.

onewhippedpuppy 08-13-2009 09:20 AM

You forgot the one troll to suggest that the existence of lightbulbs proves that there is no God.:p

No, you idiot.

Choke yourself, Pyle.

Pazuzu 08-13-2009 09:23 AM

Yeah, that thread is 5 years old, not one.

rouxroux 08-13-2009 09:29 AM

Throw in a fluffer and another wiping his sack on a pillow and you've just about got it.:D

Porsche-O-Phile 08-13-2009 09:53 AM

Three more to say "use the search feature" and two more to point out that this has been covered ad nauseum elsewhere.

tabs 08-13-2009 09:54 AM

Are they Conservative or Liberal Pelicans?

M.D. Holloway 08-13-2009 09:59 AM

how do you use the search function?

M.D. Holloway 08-13-2009 10:00 AM

:D:d

Hugh R 08-13-2009 10:01 AM

Surely someone can blame Bush for the old bulb failing, and credit Obama for the installation of an energy efficient CFL (recognizing that the CFL releases trace amounts of mercury to the atmosphere) when it gets broken of course).

red-beard 08-13-2009 10:05 AM

And then someone mentions how SWEPCO will improve the life of his bulb and make shifting better...

nostatic 08-13-2009 10:08 AM

one to taste the bulb to make sure that it really did need to be changed

rcecale 08-13-2009 10:09 AM

Sure, you can use SWEPCO, but if you installed a gererator, that lightbulb would be paying for itself in no time at all! ;)

Randy

M.D. Holloway 08-13-2009 10:10 AM

and another to claim that the 'bulb cooler' really did work while two others disagree...

jtfreels 08-13-2009 10:32 AM

So where do you get this "bulb" ? I can't find any online Porsche parts web sites.

deanp 08-13-2009 10:34 AM

Don't forget the one to recommend the cool collar on the fixture so the new bulb lasts longer....

Gogar 08-13-2009 10:40 AM

1 to start a new thread:

"Help!!!! Need to change lightbulb!"

GH85Carrera 08-13-2009 10:41 AM

Another to discuss CFL or LED replacment bulbs.

Seahawk 08-13-2009 10:51 AM

And one to mention the bulb will burn brighter with a Steve Wong chip, using the same power.

onewhippedpuppy 08-13-2009 12:24 PM

What if we install a gererator? That lightbulb will burn forever!!!

charleskieffner 08-13-2009 12:27 PM

one to shoot the light bulb from 2500 yds away with his JENNINGS .22 mouse pistol while driving 165MPH eating turbos in 3rd gear!

And one named Loren to respond immediately, denouncing performance chips and flaming the owner for not repairing the original light bulb.

charleskieffner 08-13-2009 12:38 PM

does the light bulb come equipped with a K&N FILTER?????

nostatic 08-13-2009 12:43 PM

one more to comment about how his mother is upset that he only has one light fixture in the trailer

vash 08-13-2009 12:45 PM

one to change the light bulb...200 to suggest that the car, really would look better lowered..

vash 08-13-2009 12:46 PM

....and we will need pics of this "lightbulb".

nostatic 08-13-2009 12:47 PM

one to post saying his wife is pissed about the new lightbulb and asking if he should sell it or not.

and then another dozen to call him "pussy whipped", etc :p

rouxroux 08-13-2009 01:07 PM

But his dad IS a TV repairman....and (well you know about the tools) ;)

Seahawk 08-13-2009 01:10 PM

'Mother' does not approve of the bulb...

924slover 08-13-2009 01:15 PM

1 to complain that the op didn't use the right driving lines while going to get the light bulb.

rammstein 08-13-2009 01:19 PM

What was the eco footprint of replacing the lightbulb versus refurbishing the old one?

nostatic 08-13-2009 01:29 PM

n (where n is a large number) to comment that at least it is a real lightbulb since it is air cooled.

badcar 08-13-2009 01:36 PM

One to complain to the moderator that the bulb thread should be moved.

924slover 08-13-2009 02:15 PM

one to talk about proper caliber size for protecting the light bulb from intruders
