if you blasted an intruder in your home...would you need to move?
got in a debate at work...probably because alot of my co-workers are asian. they are afraid of ghost and stuff.
if you caught some guy about to do bad things in your sacred home, and you opened him/her up with gunfire, would you still be able to sleep at home? i am talking close range, .357 to the head, or 12g shotgun to the face, brainy mashy splatter, blood pool grossness. i think i would spongeclean, change out sheetrock, redecorate, and move back in. my wife? not so much.. you guys? |
I'd leave the blood splatter on the wall as a warning to future invaders. If allowed, I'd also leave their head on a pike in my front yard.

Me?
Probably not. My wife? Definitely. She watches "Ghost Hunters". She's a sucker for that crap. |

A little bleach, paint and sheet rock, what is the difference?
Anyone think Joe horn has trouble sleeping at his house? |

EDIT: We would probably have to move based on my wife being pretty freaked out by gross stuff. And, no, I doubt she would let me take the perp's head to a new house.:) |
move an end table over the stain maybe...
|
We would have to move.

No way. Dirtbags will have my home marked with a push-pin in their "places to avoid" map, not vice-versa. |
You shot him in the face recently? His soul is probably still scare. But I understand about the wife and kids part. Maybe not a good idea if they saw it happend.

I never said anything about selling the house for a loss...
If I shot & killed someone in our home it would be messy (12ga 870). Most likely the wife and kids would be there as well and there's no way they would be at ease in the home again. I would rent the home and find another place to live. We would stay in the same community however. |

I could see if you lived through the Amityville Horror or something, but moving from your home? That sounds pretty drastic. |
Check out the company called Crime Scene Cleanup.
|
I like my home enough to defend it. I would clean and stay. In our small town everyone would know and I guarantee no one would try again.
|
It would not bother me at all. Once it is all cleaned up what difference does it make? I may have to get this sign for my front yard.

Yup. But I am not saying I should be affraid at the ghost, rather the soul is still afraid at his gun http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...ys/men_ani.gif

topic came up at work yesterday. i was over at co-worker's RAY's home. hanging in a great SF neighborhood, sipping good beer with the neighbors. asian dude comes over. he bought a home 4 doors down, 2 years ago. he asks, "have you seen any intruders in my backyard?" apparently, someone had been moving his potted plants around. Ray said, "maybe it is mr meeks" "WHAT?", ray continues..."yea, mr meeks died in that house." asian dude freaks, start yammering about sueing the real estate company...yada yada yada...he then squats down, puts his face into his hands, and complete silence. after awhile he lets out a muffled baby sound, gets up, and says, "we need to move..my wife is going to yell". all the neighbors were stunned until i explained the chinese superstitions. i asked ray, why he even said anything. he replied, look at all the mexicans living here, it it wasnt going to be me, it would have been another hispanic blabber mouth. beer was good. we talked about making ghost noises so maybe i could buy the home cheap.
the dude freaked! so i asked some co-workers. apparently, killing someone, is the worst ju-ju. |

Wow. That's a good idea. I'll have to remember this during negotiations of my next purchase when the seller doesn't want to budge. |
Dead - probably.
Not dead - no. |
SmileWavySmileWavy try to off them outside first!

I honestly don't know. I will absolutely defend my home, with lethal force if necessary. But killing someone has got to be intense , even a lowlife, crackhead scumbag. So I really don't know.
|
I'd move, but mostly "just in case" he's got a friend, family member, anybody with a grudge that may come for a revisit... Not worth risking my family over that... Would be a hard sell, I imagine, especially with my nosy neighbor who probably would tell all prospective buyers right after "hello"...

man this has been a good read/laugh!
me................since despite a poo poo economy and living in the same house for a billion years and never being able to afford another in this zip code .............heres what i would do. 1) call the cops after benelli M-2/REM 870 takes care of bizzness. 2) call my lawyer and take pictures(alot) 3) call crime scene cleanup 4) MEASURE BUCKSHOT PATTERNS 5) MEASURE SLUG PATTERNS 6) if above FEDERAL LOW RECOIL OO BUCK(LEO-APPROVED) and FEDERAL LOW RECOIL-(LEO APPROVED)...................... PATTERNS WERE NOT WITHIN VANG COMPS GUARANTEED PATTERN TOLERANCE SPECS............... i would return both M-2/REM 870 to VANG COMP and politely ask them to look at the pattern pictures i have taken AND SEE WHAT THEY COULD DO ABOUT 'TIGHTENING UP MY GROUPS!" if some drunk idiot flying down yer road hits a soccer mommy van full of kids, flips both vehicles and bodies laying dead all over yer yard..........would you sell yer house because of someones dumbass bahavior?????????? i dont think so! i gots almost 25 years of crap stored here. what a PITA MOVING! |
I don't care about ghosts, but I would be a little concerned about the scumbags brother showing up looking for revenge. Would I move because of ghosts or some such rubbish? No. Because its rubbish.
|
killing someone is a heavy burden...it would be tough.

I was in a friend's house after a gruesome axe murder (the real story behind the movie "Murder In A Small Town") and you could see where they had replaced part of the floor because of the axe blows. I couldn't help but to look around for more evidence of missed spots. |
OK rick you GOTTA tell us the story surrounding your last post.
