Marion Jones was (and in spite of it all still is...) one of my all time favorite track athlettes. I was pretty disappointed when she was proven to be a doper.
Usain Bolt is running from another universe. Hope it is just a level of absolutely freakish talent and not a performance enhanced via chemical performance. The weird thing about watching Bolt run, is that I am consistently left with the feeling that he has not reached his "wide open throttle" position yet. His surge is absolutely stunning, then he just levels off and relaxes. There's more there, even when we discount the show boating at the end of the race. This guy has some serious crazy fast speed. angela

He demolishes one world record after the other and yet he walks around looking like a happy tourist. Joking and writing autographs to other top level athletes. Amazing.

People want to win. As long as that is what drives them they will do whatever it takes to make it happen. Not to mention there is MILLIONS of dollars on the line for these folks.
It's perfectly understandable that people would dope. |
