Oldest version I can find is the 9th edition, from 1918:

keep an eye on amazon. They have a section for collectible books, which would include the original probably. There's the "mother of all book stores" in Portland Oregon that can probably help you too - it's called (this is almost too weird) "Powell's Books". I've been to it many times. It's an incredible place. I suspect they have a web site and barring that, you can probably call them, explain your predicament and let them guide you. Best of luck.
