Scouting for Boys- Lord Baden Powell
Anybody know where I might could lay my hands on one of the 1908 copies? One of those things that I just would love to have.

Guess I should add that this is something I thought of during my Eagle Court of Honor.

Try searching some of the auction houses.

Do you want an original ~100 year old copy, or do you just want to read it?
It is still in print, if Amazon carries it, you can probably order it at your local book store. Amazon.com: Scouting for Boys: A Handbook for Instruction in Good Citizenship (Oxford World's Classics) (9780192805478): Robert Baden-Powell, Elleke Boehmer: Books There are about 10 copies on ebay for under $10. |

Oldest version I can find is the 9th edition, from 1918:

keep an eye on amazon. They have a section for collectible books, which would include the original probably. There's the "mother of all book stores" in Portland Oregon that can probably help you too - it's called (this is almost too weird) "Powell's Books". I've been to it many times. It's an incredible place. I suspect they have a web site and barring that, you can probably call them, explain your predicament and let them guide you. Best of luck.
