Wheel Repair

Has anybody here used a wheel repair company for bent/cracked wheels? What were the results? I slid into a curb on saturday morning and messed up my front passenger wheel. From everything I can find, the repair is going to run me at least $100, while a used "new" rim for the 93 525i (15x7 H59170) is going to be about $150. Any suggestions on what my best option might be?

If you get it fixed right it will look like new. The rest of your wheels likely will not. It all depends on how your other wheels look.

I always thought about 'that wheel' when entering a corner a little too fast, or accidentally hitting an object or pothole on the road. I ended up getting a used wheel to replace the damaged/repaired one.

Guess I should update. Ended up buying a used wheel that had been refinished along with a new tire (the tires had been replaced about 2k miles ago so the tread wear difference is insignificant. Ended up running me $200. It sucked, but a relatively cheap lesson for me not to be so dumb.

I decided pretty quickly to buy the new rim. Then I had to decide if I needed a new tire or not. The was no visible damage, but I kept thinking about the possibility of a blowout at highway speeds. If that did happen, the bare minimum I would have paid would be another $200 for rim and tire. The tire was cheap insurance, especially because I am not even driving the car right now, my mom is to keep miles off of her car. I would have felt really bad if something broke down while she was driving it.

I've used one several times. $109 per wheel and I can't believe he was able to fix them. One looked tweaked like a slinky. True miracle worker.
