Anyone familiar with a 4 cycle gas trimmer, which is best for under $200?

Price range $159-189

I have a Troy-Built that has different attachments you can put on it. It sounds gimmicky but they work well. I have a weed-eater head, a blower and an edger.

I have the Troy-Built as well, starts easy and works much better than the first Weed Eater I bought. I sure like not having to have the mix gas and oil. I have the blower attachment, too.
I got mine at Lowe's.

It works great. It has plenty of power and starts on the second pull as long as I remember to pump the priming bulb. Mine is a few years old and out of production but is a middle of the road curved shaft model. It has been completely maintenance free.

The newer ones have electric start for $199!

I have a poulon - have had it for three years of hard use and it runs great

I got the edger attachment and cultivator and weedeater The 31 cc make it a little heavier - but lots of torque.

I have one, forget the brand, but it's a straight shaft trimmer with a briggs & stratton engine. I've always figured with yard equipment that the motor is the most important item, I won't pay extra money for a John Deere, or some other "brand name" item. I've been very happy with it, I do a lot of trimming with my yard and landscaping and it's held up very well. I'm almost through my second season of use with not a single problem.
