...over in the "For Sale" forum... "one of a kind" is certainly correct. "Mechanic owned"?

I don't get it. What makes it weird? The interior? The wheels?

I think some of us (Heel n Toe), just don't have anything better to do than to rag on fellow Pelicans and call them out in front of the Forum.

Does it make you feel like a "real" Porsche guy to do this?

looks like a reasonably clean car for a 79'

so it's got a tea tray, could use a lowering and seats attended to, big deal.

i've seen a lot worse.

Yeah, I don't get it. It needs some little stuff taken care of but for a 30 year old car, it looks like it's in decent shape. The wheels wouldn't be my choice, but they aren't horrible.

I just thought the white dash and very oddball wheels were weird. Not trying to bash on anybody. And as indicated, I thought it was odd that it was owned by a mechanic.

Nothing there that can't be changed for the better. Different strokes for different folks, I realize... it just struck me as weird.

Maybe everyone is a little raw after the "seats" thread. I had not opened that one until after I posted this... if I had seen it beforehand, I probably wouldn't have posted this.

This isn't my favorite combo, but if he'd used a black dash cover it would suit me more.... not too bad overall, just not what I'd have done to her.

By the by, not to say this mechanic is, but I have known some really "weird" mechanics in my day..... and most were making a very good living turning wreches!

It needs some stuff, but it's got some stuff, too. Maybe if I ever decide to sell my car I'll do something unusual to it so it generates some buzz Right now it's facory stock except for lowering it.

Indeed.

And w-i-d-e whitewall tires and a 65 year old woman with a red beehive wearing a miniskirt sitting in it... maybe then it would be weird enough.

IMO, if you can't have a little harmless fun with stuff like this in PPOT without manufactured outrage 'splodin' all over the place, where can you?

Good grief, for all anyone knows, this thread may have sent the owner a buyer.
