i did something to my elbow a few months ago, don't know if something got infected or what but it was swollen to the size of a grapefruit.......soaked it in epsom salt for about 20 minutes per night for 3 nights the rubbed in a medicated lotion and everything went back to normal.......
i also used it alot back in the bmx days for strained muscles and whatever and always seemed to work well.......

Magnesium sulphate...darned right it works. It's also good for plants...if iron chelate doesn't help your plant with yellow leaves, try a bit of epsom salts...magnesium sulphate.

Good for lots of things, will perk your roses right up. Also very good to use for soaking minor infections, for example ingrown nail, or if you fish a metal shaving out of someone's foot after they go walking around in the garage after their spouse has been machining stuff on the lathe.
