o-oh. we have 2 free roundtrip tixs for CONUS. where should we go?

we forgot about them, and they expire in feb. i dont mind the cold, but my wife is not a big fan. we want to head east, to get the most bang for the buck. florida is out, been there. chicago, boston,...how bad will the winter be, say in november, dec?

any suggestions for a quick trip to see our country? let me add, the goal should be good food and good history...
TIA

Is the tickets just the continental US? Because when I get to redeem mine, it's eligible for the entire North America (with the possible exclusion of Alaska).

Because if it does include Canada. You should go to Quebec City ASAP!!!

If it's only the US, NYC hands down.

Great time to get into typically unavailable restaurants in NYC. PM me on that one.

Chicago always a great city. Charlotte NC, Washington DC. Of course, SF is hard to beat but flying from OAK to SFO is goofy.

Wilmington nc.....excellent beaches.....old historic downtown area.....battleship......a very nice aquarium....just make sure you get a hotel on the beach, the courtyard by marriot on carolina beach is excellent and very affordable, if have money to waste there are some pricey ones on wrightsville beach......

Gotta agree with Bell, go to Wilmington and then on to the Outer Banks, the Barrier Islands are superb.

+1

But it will have to be before November, more like October. If you do not want to be too adventurish, drive up I-81 from NYC to lake Champlain, cross on the ferry, then down US-7.

DC is 85 miles from Gettysburg, 75 from Antietam. If it rains: Smithsonian, nice weather: battlefields, plus the zoo is part of the Smithsonian and free like the rest of the museums.
