Have a 2004 with about 60K on the clock. Zero issues, I mean Nada. Oh, the low tire pressure light came on once, scared the crap out of me.

My wife has an '03 that we bought a year ago. Good in snow. Factory tires aren't the greatest. No issues at all. I would definitely buy another one.

I never put much thought into Highlanders but had one as a rental vehicle one time and loved it. I'd get one for sure.

Can you tow anything with one? I like the looks of them, but have never seen one with a tow hitch.

I've seen hitches on some that I've been looking at.
Don't know how much they can handle though.

Hitches are most likely for bike racks. Very solid appliances they are.

My in-laws had one and I'm still confused as to why they sold it. By far the best car they've ever had. Typical Toyota quality, well laid out interior and plenty of room for a smaller sized SUV. I'm over 6' and have plenty of leg room in the back.

We have an 04 Lexus RX, basically the same vehicle. It is the most reliable beast we have ever owned. Approaching 40k, zero problems, and I do mean zero.

My wife has a '05.

Never a problem. Bullet proof.

Wife absolutely loves it.

I love those $80.- service invoices.

Great in the snow. Great air-con.

Great all around car. We now keep it up at our recreational property and haul lumber and visitors with it. It appears to be indestructible.

One annoying design flaw: When the car is covered with snow, and you open the door, all the snow falls into the car because of the curvature of the door.

So i (we) just got back from looking at the car. Really nice int. a few very minor
dings on ext. drives real nice, cold A/C it's a limited so it's loaded.
Car is at a Porsche/Audi dealer of all places.
So we tell the salesman we'll take it. He says how will you pay?
I grab my check book and he says we can't take personal checks over 2000.00
So I said how about a credit card he says only up to 2000.00 WTF.
He explains that they would need a certified (bank) check.
This would not be a big deal , but we've driven 127 miles down to Nashua N.H.
and is 4:30 and we were planing on driving it home.....NOT!
After talking to the one step higher up (the big kahuna was absent) still no go.
Their solution is mail them a cert. check and they will drive it up here.
Okie dokie so now their going to drive 2 cars, pay 2 drivers etc.etc.
Guess they don't trust us Vermont woodchucks
P.S yeah we drove the Pcar down (least we got in a nice drive)

Congrats they are great. Don't worry about them not taking your personal check, that is just good business. If someone came to buy your 911 that you had never met before would you take a personal check and let them drive away with your car?

The personal check part i can see, but why not take the credit card?
They will accept it up to 2000.00 why not the full amount?
Do the C.C.co.'s charge more over 2000.00?

For the same reason they won't take the check, fraud. Credit card fraud is a huge business. Be sure to post pics when she is delivered!
