Wish I had an extra $40k liquid

Buddy of mine is moving.

He's selling his Viper.

1999 Dodge Viper GTS. 450 hp V-10 less than 10k miles (see pic). Asking 40k. Never parked outside, never even been rained on. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY!!!! I will not be crushed if I don't sell this baby!

Car is really as cherry as he says. I've known him since before he bought it new.

Yeah, I wish I had an "extra" $40k. Because when I have an "extra" $40k, that means that I have a bunch of $$ besides that. Woo Hoo, party on.

red-beard 09-16-2009 02:37 PM

I would rather spend $40K on a 911

pwd72s 09-16-2009 02:44 PM

The Viper is a fun drive, from what I've heard...but it's just too damned ostentatious for my taste.

I wish I had $30K. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/498756-backdated-carrera.html

No, it is a total BLAST to drive, more untamed than an EARLY 930!!!
That is a caR that I would have had I not been so hooked on Porsches..

Actually that rubber was put on 6 months ago and has about 500 miles on it.

Bad lighting.

dan88911 09-16-2009 06:39 PM

It's just a car. What else would you spend an extra 40k on?

Schumi 09-16-2009 10:57 PM

Vipers... tire aspect ratio always looks wrong on them... I dunno if that's the reccomended tire size but they never fill up the wheel well correctly... too low-profile.

I understand the use of this on race cars (shorter effective gearing) but on a street car..... :-/

Porsche-O-Phile 09-17-2009 05:03 AM

No way I'd pay $40k for that car.

Ditto, but I always wonder about a car like that, that's for sale. I guess some folks like the building process more than the having process.
