30+ years on, Lemmy still bangin it hard.
You couldn't be a punk and not get exposed to Motörhead.
Rollins is doing spoken word tours and eating vegan lasagna, Biafra's probably spending his night reading Huffington report and working at an independant books store in SF, and Danzig is in his basement scribbling his latest horror comic that no one cares about, and Lemmy is....KICKING ASS. The dude in in his 60s, and still pushing it hard:

One of my favorite quotes of all time is from Lemmy (speaking about Motorhead): "We want to be the kind of band that if we moved into the house next door, your grass would die".

Because of this thread, I decided to buy tickets for the show here next week. I saw them about 10 years ago, and did shots of whiskey with Lemmy afterwards at a Chicago biker bar. I haven't been to a rock 'n' rollin' show in about 3 years, guess I should dust off my $hitkickers and go party.

Chazz: Who'd win in a wrestling match, Lemmy or God?
Chris Moore: Lemmy. [Rex imitates a game show buzzer] Chris Moore: ... God? Rex: Wrong, dickhead, trick question. Lemmy *IS* God. |

Just saw them last week for the first time. Great show, lousy venue/sound unfortunately.
Oh yeah, not a great set list this tour - lots of what I think are some of their worst tracks. Oh well, hopefully next time will be better!

I've been a Motorhead fan since '81. Their current tour features one of my favorite local bands, Nashville P***y. Here's a couple of their vids

OK, finally can see straight after the show on Friday night
![]() Loudest show I've been to in a long time. It made my ears start to ring WITH 31 decibel earplugs in. LOTS of rockabilly/hard rock boobs, man I love the rock and roll lifestyle, they find the hottest chicks... Very clean set, but the sound wasn't good (dunno if it was the venue or the sound guy or what). Nashville ******* had good music, but the lyrics came straight from a 12 year old's notebook...what with a band fronted by a Ron Jeremy lookalike and two scantily clad ladies on guitar. The Good Reverend had a great set, they love to play in Texas. Quote:
Maybe they changed it up, but in 18 songs, they played Ironfist, I Got Mine, Another Perfect Day, Killed By Death, Bomber, Ace of Spades and Overkill...5 TIMES. Faster and louder each time! Sure they had to sprinkle in some very new stuff, but I felt they gave a good fraction of time to the classics. Quote:
