Todd, I don't think it is your camera. The first pic has a bit of an optical illusion and for some reason, it looks miniature.
![]() Nice job on the paint.

Hi Dave
You know it does look funny sitting up against the kitchen backsplash like that, strange. I will do a group shot. On the paint Spikes did the work for me, I usually do my own, like on the Oly long gun pictured. When I do it I use the paint sticks from Brownells they are very easy to use and come in several colors, if you have any engraving they will really bring it out. Ok here is another photo, still cant figure out this camera. It is my work camera and is an Olympus but I have not studied the manual that came with it to see how it works, they pay alot for them it is probably operator error.
Todd ![]() ![]() PS... I put a bottle of Woodchuck and a 20 round mag in the pic for scale...lol |

If you decide to sell your NM M1, let me know. I have a service grade M1 I got from the DCM years ago. $250 and it has a 6-digit serial number which puts it to be built in '42. I suspect it saw pacific action. Wonder if there is any way to find out who the rifle was issued to.
My camera isn't anything special. It is an older Nikon D70 ditital SLR with and even older Nikon 24-120mm lens. Cheers |

Hi Ab,
I started with it in the early 80's so I better hang on to it, and it is a Navy gun (7.62 NATO) on top of that, they are rare these days. There were still some ole timers us 03's back in them days but mostly M1's and 14's. We have shot some really good matches together and some really bad ones, when I started out I had better eyes than I do now. It is all in the X count. Did you notice the trigger on the AR ? I am pulling the stock on my Gnat Killer AR, the one that is on it is a A2 style that has been lead filled, but I am heading back to MagPul for school and plan on picking up a PRS stock from them to put on there. They usually load us (students) up with free stuff when we go I am gonna hit them up for a PRS instead of the usual handouts if that dont work I will just buy one they give us a discount when we are there.

This is a pic I took of my shooting gear spread out on the kitchen floor for a friend thinking of high power competition and he wanted to see what I use during competition. The rifle is an early Colt "slab side" with Krieger 1:7.7 barrel, free-float handguard, 1/4 minute rear sight, and Malaazo 2-stage trigger. A tack driver for sure.

I have the same mat, similar stand / scope and glove. My heavy jacket is black/white leather (old school I know) and I still have an old issued OD green light weight one too. Have not shot a match in years, just too busy at work/life these days. Todd ![]() |

I have a PRS on my RRA M4 that I may give up. Though of trying it on the space gun, but it doesn't have a vertical or cant adjustment to the pad. So I may sell it and get a collapsible M4 style buttstock. |

If you are going to build one, here is a good starting point. Aero makes lowers for a lot of vendors, including Spikes. That one in the OP came from Aero. $125 for a lower receiver and DPMS lower parts kit is a good deal. I'm tempted to get one just for the hell of it and build it in case there's another rush.
